Apt vs Condo

I looked at an apartment today and almost took it.  Then I remembered I need to wait 6 more monts before making any decision.  The way the housing market is now, I don't want to end up living somewhere I hate.  I'm also concerned that I'll end up buying a condo and most of the units are rented.  We have one of those over here now.  I'm planning to look at it tomorrow, but definetly will not buy one there.  I figure if you're going to buy a condo, you might as well rent if everyone else that lives there is renting.
Any Condo owners out there?  What do you think?

I own an apartment or condo. It\'s okay. They get you on the repairs. There is a contigency fund but sometimes it is not enough for repairs like the roofing, plumbing, lobby etc. There is always repairs. It might be cheaper in the long run to rent something. You don\'t have to worry about the cost of repairs. I am speaking from experience but you have to do what is right for you. Don\'t buy on a busy street as I find it extremely noisy at times. Remember do what is right for you. Why do you have to wait six months? I am just curious but it is none of my business from Diane
