Appointment went well
I felt good yesterday for my appointment. The PFT went well with just lower numbers, but not significant. Dr was nice and said he could be contacted in the event of another breathing issue. If there is a next time, ladies and gentlemen, I promise to go to the hospital.
He cannot say that the breathing episodes are MG, of course, because he has not seen one, but is surprised at how quickly I have bounced back. I do have to go see him in 6 months for another CT scan and follow-up as I do have a spot on my lung. I told him I have spots everywhere, so its just one more to watch.
I am feeling quite good. Vision sucks, but I truly can live with that. I am going to try two 5 minute exercise periods today and crank them up a minute every day. You know me, I have to schedule things. I cannot believe how much muscle I have lost
Of course, the doctor wanted to do a sleep study as the soft tissue in my throat-mouth are an issue, and I really don't want to do that. My husband wants me to do it. I don't snore but he thinks "your health is so much worse." Like wearing a C-pap will cure me of MG. Doctor told me to think it over for a week and get back to him. I told him would do, but am tired of testings already and know that there will be a ton in December.
Going to enjoy instead of endure my day!!

Hi Debbie,
Glad you are doing better. On the C-pap note, my husband has one and if you are not getting the right kind of sleep, you will continue to do poorly. He is doing so much better since he has been using it. I was tested, but did not have sleep apnea. However, my mother and two sisters are using one. It may not cure your MG, but can help in other ways if it is needed dear friend.
Love ya, Cathy
Absolutely have a sleep test! If you have sleep problems, that a C-PAP will fix? You will be so pleased - with better sleep? You wouldn\'t care - what you had to wear! (So many - of our family & friends - have been helped, by a sleep study!)
The other problem, they look for - in a sleep test? Is RLS - Restless Leg Syndrome. My twitching was off the charts. I went to a sleep MD, who prescribed a med. That med turned my legs into lead, and my brain into mush!
Problem is? I did - not - have RLS.
I had CFS: cramp-fasciculation-syndrome. Which was diagnosed later, by my Boston Neuro. The meds that the Boston Neuro prescribed? Do a good job, controlling symptoms - without turning me into a vegetable.
Debbie, I can\'t recommend a sleep study enough. Seen too much benefit! Go for it!
Besides - you get to sleep on a \'\'Sleep-Number\'\' mattress! That alone - is worth the price of admission! (My insurance covered 95-percent of the sleep-test.)
Im glad you have someone listening your concerns and wanting to help you get checked out more. Was he able to help yu get in to the Neuro any sooner? I get not wanting more testing but good to get all the help available.
I\'ll be working a simalar exercise plan starting next week! maybe we\'ll have the Michelle Obama arms by spring time
Hugs,
J
He felt I was stable right now...I will call back and let him know I am willing to do the sleep study.
Just read this Debbie. How are you doing today? I would thing that you can bounce back quickly from breathing issues if it\'s just weak diaphragm issues that have been treated and not lung issues.
Thinking of you!
