Anxitey over 1st weigh in!

Tomorrow is my very first post op weigh in! I had Rich put away our scale while I was in the hospital... I am tired of being consumed by the # on the scale and am attempting to find a way to cope with the power it seems to have over me.
I know the only power the scale has is the power I have given it... Realizing this is good, but I've yet to figure out how to take it back.
The anxiety I feel over this first weigh in is so much more than I would have ever imagined I would feel! I hope it's 'enough' when I step on it tomorrow, yet I've no idea what 'enough' even is! I hope the # is smaller and its so much smaller that I cry with joy, yet I know that if this happens it is still a sign of the power the # has over me.
I almost don't want to weigh... I just want to live my life, working the tool I was given, and stay away from the scale.
What I want even more over that is to be able to use the scale as the tool is it meant to be, and nothing more.
I know this is part of the head work that is necessary to make this journey successful...
Tomorrow is harder than the day of surgery... I guess because now the pressure to succeed is on me... Surgery, well that was all about the doc doing her job... now its all about me doing mine!
So my plan...
1st: I will go weigh tomorrow... and whatever the # is, and however it makes me feel... I'm just going to let myself feel it. No stuffing down the emotions, I'm just going to let them be whatever they are.
2nd: I will journal about the 'event' and the emotions that will go with it in an attempt to help myself learn how to take back my power from the scale.
3rd: I will call Kellie (my therapist) to set up an appointment so I can talk with her about all of this :)
More to come on Becca taking back her power :)
