Anxiety Attacks

Today I had an anxiety attack before work so I didn't go in. I woke up this morning exhausted and had to go back to sleep. I think that's what caused the anxiety attack. I don't know why I was so tired... I got 12 hours of sleep and have been sleeping well lately... I just don't know. I hope I sleep well tonight.. I have to go to work and babysit tomorrow. Then I have therapy on Thursday in the morning. It's going to be a busy week. Yesterday I did almost 11,500 steps! My legs feel fine... my knee bugged me for a bit when I went for my walk today, but other than that I was fine. I'm tired again, which is good. It's almost 11 pm, so I have to do this quick so I can get ready for bed. I think part of the reason I didn't sleep well last night is because my friend Carol had pain in her left breast and she was worried it was cancer. I told her she could call me at any time if she needed me. I think my mind was on that and not sleep. I did have to take a sleep klonopin to get me to sleep. I should have just taken a klonopin and gone into work. I think that's what I'm going to do tomorrow if I have another anxiety attack. You would think after all that exercise I did yesterday I would have slept well, but I guess not. According to my FitBit I woke up 29 times last night. I don't know how it knows that, but that's what it said. I did 5,000 steps today... a slow day. I took a 1.5 mile walk before dinner. I didn't eat lunch today... bad I know. I've been having trouble eating lunch. I eat my breakfast around 12-1 pm and then I'm not hungry until 5. I eat dinner between 6-7 pm, so I normally just have a small snack. I know I need to eat to keep my metabolism going, but I just have problems forcing myself to eat. Ann, I know how you feel with breakfast... I'm starting to feel that way about lunch. I know I should eat it but I don't. I should have a small snack before I go to work, but I don't. I have carrots and ranch dressing, which is one of my favorite snacks, but I don't eat them. I just think about all the calories I'm not eating and am happy with that. I hate ED. You would think after all these years I should be able to fight it better, but lately I've been lazy and letting it take over. I think I'm going to go have some carrots and ranch since my stomach is telling me I'm hungry.

ED is awful and so easy to just let take over. I understand completely about not wanting to eat a meal, I hope you had the carrots and dressing, that sounds good. with your sleep pattern, it is close tighter when you have breakfast and dinner, maybe you could have a high protein bigger snack, like a mini meal later in the evening. as for the anxiety, I cant help you to much as I get it even with the amount of anti anxiety meds im on. walking seems to help and trying to slow down my breath. hope today is a good one. I want a fitbit. hugss

I\'m so sorry to hear about the anxiety attack before work and it making it so you couldn\'t go. I\'ve heard sleeping too much (over 8 hours) can actually make you MORE tired. Maybe that\'s why you still felt tired after you woke up? I hope your sleep patterns improves and the anxiety attacks too. I\'m sorry to hear about your friend and I pray its not cancer. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and we had a little scare earlier this year, but thankfully it was nothing. Its hard to see someone go through it so I pray that\'s not the case for your friend. Since you aren\'t hungry to eat lunch maybe you could try smaller more frequent meals? Not only will it keep you full but it will keep your metabolism going. Just a thought. I saw a FitBit in Target yesterday and I soooooo want one!!! Hugs. I hope you feel better.

I know most people need only 8 hours. When I get only 8 hours I\'m crabby, tired and just need to go back to bed. I\'m good with 10-12 hours of sleep. Any less and it could trigger my bipolar and make me go hypomanic.
