Anxiety as a way of knowing

I had a good session with my therapist. It was really nice to talk and she is so smart.

For some reason, though I was calm after we talked, when our session ended, a little while later, the anxiousness in fits and starts came up again. I started to wonder if this anxiety is a way for me to know things at a moment of unknowing. It's powerful feeling and perhaps I have learned now how to not focus on it because the anxiety as itself can in a way be self reinforcing. I know it's a flight or fight response but perseverating is maybe going overboard with it. Just sorting.

That sure resonates with my sense of anxiety and all my other emotions, as well. I like to think of my feelings as a monitoring system. A monitoring system doesn't **know** anything. It just senses and tracks. It's up to the organic CPU (brain) to investigate.

Equally for the positive emotions, as well. If something makes me happy it is probably good for me, but not so much when I let the euphoria override the organic CPU.

Just a certified nut theory. . . Leaving the experting to the experts.
