Anxiety

Just feel untethered and a lot of anxiety, shaking. I need to get the mail. Hopefully a walk will help.

Awww..... I am so sorry sweetie..... Deep breaths.... Why don't you try the grounding techniques now.... Describe out loud the room that you're in, in great detail..... The fabrics.... the colours.... the art..... your favourite things..... What about it do you like..... What new things would you like to add..... explicate details out loud..... focus on nothing but describing your room...…. Big hug of comfort and support.....xo

I thought feeling untethered to the point of anxiety shakes was a signal that I *need* to walk. Even when the walk doesn't help, it don't hurt none, neither, but it usually does help.

The walk was good. I said hello to my nice neighbor. She was sweeping the autumn leaves off her stairs. It’s really windy out right now, so she’s fighting a losing battle. We laughed about that.

I am looking forward to seeing my therapist tomorrow.

Thanks Jan and Arfie!

it's weird, I was feeling so unmotivated to do anything. Earlier I just felt anxious and shaking and so I went for that walk. I still felt unmotivated. I had planned to go to my usual yoga class on Thursdays but I just couldn't muster to go. It's like it offered
nothing. Even just now I was still feeling unmotivated but I remembered a tool that my therapist talked about... "Self Coaching." It's a helpful tool. I can do that.

Standing ovation for remembering your therapy tools, my Questor. Finding the right tools for you is a challenge, but they work if ya work 'em and you are worth it. Insert Bachman Turner Overdrive here:
