Another weekend gone
Jeff,
I can't believe how busy my life is right now. I know it was this busy before, but without you to come home to and vent or rejoice, sometimes I feel overwhelmed. I felt guilty when I'd have to leave you at home so I could go judge a forensics meet with Hunter's team, or when I went to a band concert or contest and you had to stay in bed. But I could always come home and tell you all about it. You were so proud of the boys and all they accomplish.
This weekend I spent concentrating on the boys. Well, Hunter mostly. He had a Forensics Contest in S Barber so I drove him there along with a couple of other friends who didn't want to ride the bus. The day was long, but well worth it. Hunter and Isaac took 1st place in Duet Acting and the entire team took home the 1st place trophy. I think there were 12 schools there. It was awesome.
We left there and headed to Wichita to pick up Brooke and went to watch the WSU game so Hunter could watch the drum player in the pepĀ band. He is only a JR but seriously looking for a school he can play drums for. He loved what he saw. Then we brought Brooke and her dog home with us. She went to her Dad's in Missouri today.
Today was our annual Super Bowl Subs at our church. You were always our organizer for this. I know the kids missed you. I just didn't have it in me to organize this thing this year so the adult SS class did it and our kids in the Youth Group just made the sandwiches and sold them. I was exhausted at the end of the day.
Hunter and I went to the Folk's house for supper and watched some of the game. I kept thinking through the weekend how many things I have done over these almost 2 months that you have been gone. Things that you would never have shown any intersest in and so I wouldn't have done them either. I always wanted to do things with you. So, we stayed home alot and enjoyed eachother.
THis week has gone by quickly. Now I am preparing for another very busy week. I just wanted you to know that I love you and miss you baby.
Liz
