Another stone turned....

Today was a day that I have been dreading for a long time...the six week check up. I was scared to death to go back to that office...that office where everything was so bright and happy.  To go back to that lobby with all those pregnant women, where I had my happy days.  Not to mention that ultrasound room.  I had to have an ultrasound done because of a cist.  What torture. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I had my moments while having blood drawn.  Someone had a door open to a room where you could hear the heartbeat of another unborn baby just feet away, and you might as well have ripped my heart out, but then my nurses were so nice. It obviously said something on my chart about my baby, because they were all so nice and were asking "are you okay" and "how are you dear?"  The ultrasound was hard for me because I pictured my daughters first ultrasound pics, the ones where she just had little nubs for arms.  Those are the most precious pictures to me.  Even though we even had the whole 3d4d things done, these first pictures were still the most special.  I just pictured that image over and over again in my head.  My husband though, who was with me, said he just kept waiting for a heartbeat to come across that monitor.   After it was all over though, it felt like a weight had been lifted. I had been dreading that day for so long, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I only have one more day, the due date, to get past, and I feel like we will have a fresh start.  I am so glad that today is over.  Nothing but healthy news so far, and once the bloodwork comes back, its TTC for me!
