Another Scary Movie
Today Geo and I saw the sequel to the scary movie (V/H/S) that we saw the other day. It was freaky! I had my eyes covered for most of the time. I hope I don't get flashbacks or nightmares. I have a feeling that I'm going to need Geo tonight if possible. I'm still feeling scared and I have to go to bed soon. I have my training for being a poll worker tomorrow at 1. I may ask Geo to drive me, but right now I'm planning on taking the bus. We do need to go to the store, so maybe afterwards he can pick me up and then we can go to the store. I don't know what he wants. This movie had my PTSD trigger- a man committing suicide with a gun. That's how my dad died. That's why I'm wound up right now. I think I'm going to go lie down, take a klonopin and talk to someone until I can sleep.
I went to volunteer today and it went well. I told one of my bosses that I was having trouble with the head nurse, and she said that they can look for another placement for me. I told her I could come in earlier and miss her and she said that was okay. I told my boss boss (the volunteer director) and he wanted the three of us to sit down and talk. Luckily he was too busy planning a walk-a-thon to have time to sit down. I felt good today. There was this poor woman waiting in the lobby to see a doctor for labs. She knew she had to be fasting for some of them, but she was getting really weak. I talked to the nurses, and they said that she could eat something now and then just come in tomorrow morning for her labs. So her husband went home to get something for them to eat. I felt good helping her since she wasn't feeling well. It was busy today... there were a bunch of people and some of them had been waiting for hours. it's just the way that it works. They are understaffed and they only have one doctor for everyone. I was lucky when I went to urgent care on Friday since there was only one person in the waiting room and they were waiting on someone already there. it still took 2 hours, but I had my MP3 player and just listened to that while I waited.

Im so sorry the movie was so triggering for you. I know how difficult it is for me to get any good sleep after being triggered like that. I hope you can sleep. When i wake up from a nightmare... i try to tell myself over and over \"this isnt real IT IS JUST A DREAM\" sometimes it works but other times i just cant put it out of my mind and cant get back to sleep. Sometimes i wish there was a mute button i could just mute my thoughts and go back to sleep.
Thats so neat you was able to help that lady that was sitting there waiting for her labs! I bet she really appriciated you taking the time to be concerned.... some people would have just ignored and told her well to bad you have to be fasting so you just gonna have to wait it out. I wish health care wasnt so difficult these days but it seems the waiting times just seem to get longer and longer. I try to make sure i have things like mp3 or something with me to make the wait time go faster and cause less anxiety for me. I have a feeling with the new changes in health care and insurance all that it just might get worse before it ever improves.
Night hope you sleep ok HugggzZz
I don\'t have ptsd but I can only imagine about how triggering that must of been and it sounds like a horrible movie. I only get upset and anxious, sick yo my stomach feeling when anything bad to do with electricity is either shown or someone is working on it, as that is how peter died. you are such a caring woman, that patient could of passed out if it weren\'t for you and your caring ways. health care... what to say, it stinks and as g2g said doesn\'t appear to get any better anytime soon. love and hugss
I have Medicare, so I don\'t anticipate having problems. But if I do, then I can always change my HMO
i would have been furious waiting a long time for them to draw blood. isn\'t there a hospital that can do it. why go through the fasting two times? water helps the fast a lot and makes it easier for them to draw blood as well. drinking a LOT of water.
best of luck with your training. xxoo
The walk in clinic I work at is much cheaper than the ER. We only charge them $25, while an ER is at least $100. So that\'s why we are so busy.
