Another Saturday
All this week I have been meaning to get out and work in the yard. I love planting flowers and taking care of them , but pulling weeds and weeding eating isn't my thing. I know it needs to be done, but I swear the older I get the more it takes out of me. So all this week I have been trying to get myself ready to go out and do yard work. By the time I get ready it starts to rain. Oh darn!!!!!! Maybe I could get some jungle animals and have them hang around then I should charge people to come on a mini sarfare(excuse the spelling). We have about 3/4 of a acre but most of it is up hill, and with the rain we get behind in trying to get ahead of the weeds. The weeds win every year. I did at the first of the summer get my combat gear on and try to get the problem taken care of early but it just didn't work out, the weeds won again.....So now that it is Saturday I think maybe I can get outside and do a little something, and then again I might just say forget it one more Saturday and play computer games. LOL Weeds aside, I have a little story to share. When I first came over to Ireland to visit, my brother came with me. It had been the first time I had ever been on a plane and he wanted to go visit Ireland also so off we went. I worked the previous night so I was up all night I thought that would help me sleep on the plane and not be so nervous. We ordered our tickets on the internet got a pretty goood deal at that time. $400 a piece for round trip. Anyway the tickets had 2:30 as take off time printed on them, We thought that we would grab something to eat before we went to the airport and arrive earlier enough to get checked it, so after driving around a bit we couldn't decide on a place to eat so decided to go on to the airport check in then something to eat there. We took off at Lexington airport in Kentucky(which ony has 4 gates). So we proceed to check in the person at the check out counter says why did you wait so late to check in???? We go what its only 12:30 and the flight it not do until 2:30, well the print out of the tickets was wrong they left off the 1 in front of the 2:30. So then we ask the guy at the counter what are we suppose to do now??? The plane was on the runway but hadn't taken off yet so the guy at the counter called the pilot and told him the situation. Put us through fast check in(which was post 9/11) so that easy by any means....Then he pointed toward which gate we was suppose to go to get on the plane...We took off running after being checked for contraband which I believe I told them take my fingernail file and something else they thought I might use to take over the plane... Here we was running with all our carry on luggage from gate to gate, now as I said the airport oly has 4 gates and we arrived at all of them before we got to right one. Two gates were upstairs and two downstairs. We would run up the stairs then across the hall to the next gate then down the stairs and across the hall before coming to right gate. We looked like idiots and I am sure all the people in the airport at that time was laughing at us running all over the place. Well we finally found the right gate where the plane and people on board was waiting patiencely for us. I was too out of breath to be nervous on take off. After we arrived in Ireland I had no idea what jet lag meant, and being that I hadn't had much sleep for two days I slept for two days. The Peter wanted to take me and brother out to meet one of his best friends, so we got into the car. I forgot that people over here drove on the left side of the road it was dark and we was going around a curve a truck was coming at us and I am thinking we are going to hit it because I thought we was suppose to be on the right side of the road and started screaming, what A idiot........Well more of my airplane trips later, better go for now. Take Care EveryoneCindy
