another request for prayer......
Hi,
I went out for awhile and came home to a message that Grandpa fell again, he is in the hospital overnight.......not sure what his condition is.......but he needs our prayers......and Grandma does too. It's not easy for our aged loved ones to be without each other........they truly become one over the years......and when they are apart they get confused and struggle to manage until the other is with them again.......Grandpa is in his 90's and Grandma in her late 80's, they still hold hands.......
And he tells anyone within the sound of his voice how beautiful his wife his.......how blessed he was to find a woman with such beauty........inside and out!
Carrie, our burn victim is having surgery on Thursday........
The initial talk with Carol did not go very well......there was the yelling and then me yelling over her.......and then she hung up on me......I was actually yelling at her that we needed to stop yelling, retreat to our corners, cool down, take a breath and then speak as sisters who love each other......
And somewhere during that loud speech she hung up on me and I was still angry and frustrated and ashamed for yelling...........but she herself said to me today that maybe it WAS the only way she could hear me.......that she gets drowned out at times by her own noise. So much going on in her head.......makes it hard to make right best choices. But she signed the paperwork, I know I've now said this three times......but this IS A MIRACLE. a real honest to goodness miracle in our time.......she signed, she went willingly.......she promised to try. that's an amazing baby step.......she is in Arizona -- I am in Georgia so it's extra hard to manage things from afar.
In other not so urgent news.......Sam is going to Nashville this week end to meet up with a good friend from college. She is coming in from Ohio.......hoping that Moe will rally, she has been sick this week......and that she will be able to go to Nashville also........
I was helping Sam look for a decent affordable hotel......Nashville is expensive, particularly in the downtown area. The average rate for the night is in the mid $400's to mid $500. I love a challenge......I found a safe clean deal for him that is uber close to downtown for $69 a night. So for two nights the room total with taxes would be $138.66. Pretty good...... they will still have money for fun/food/fuel.
Please pray that they have a safe journey.......and a nice relaxing week end.
Sara is at Rock Camp teaching kids to embrace their musical talents for the next two weeks.......she is at a university in Georgia working her musically talented self off! It's a lot of work, she's done this before but it's EXHAUSTING too........ok, thanks for prayers, for listening........and for being good friends.
night y'all.........p.s. i got to see a sneak peek of my niece's bridal gown tonight and of my sister's mother of the bride dress........it's gonna be hard not being there, but thanks to the net we can share so many things very quickly.........hugs, night!

Oh, your dear grandpa. Jesus, surround him with Light tonight. I pray that he will not be alone in his hospital bed, but that your angels will guard him and keep him. May his beautiful wife be comforted and feel safety while he is in the hospital. In your powerful name. Amen.

Praying for all, Ruthie. Frank and I will be married 45 years in November. We still hold hands. We would be lost without the other. Hope your Grandpa recovers quickly. Praying for strength for your Grandma. Glad to hear Carol is making right choices. Sam & Moe will have fun in Nashville. I lived in near by Clarksville for many years. Use to have out in Nashville many times.

Ruthie, I am just catching up on your journal and prayer requests. I will be praying for everyone! We had a close family member who was burned a few years ago(he was 25 at the time). The burn unit is a difficult place to visit, so I am not only praying for Carrie, but for her family. I\'m glad that a miracle took place with your sister Carol - starting with her calling you for help. It must be such a relief to know she has signed herself into a safe place and will be getting the help she needs. Don\'t beat yourself up too much for yelling! It seemed to have helped, and doesn\'t diminish the love you have for your sister. Prayers going out for Grandma and Grandpa, too. XOOX, Elle
