Another Rainy Day!!!

Plus we are having a rainy day but it is suppose to clear up with just a few cloudy periods. unfortuately, the temps are still low, only getting up to 62*F/17*C. I would like to have 10 degrees more than this.Well, I spent over two hours last night helping my girlfriend de-skunk her husky. The vet had given her two pills to help sedate him as he will bite when his hind end is touched. Well, lets just say she wasted her money. He was only a tad groggy for about the first 20 minutes and then we were only just starting towards his back end. So I came home and got three clonazepam and we gave him those. After about a half hour, we were able to work on him. But we ran out of the spray they sold her...highway robbery. I told her to buy the $6.99 stuff at Walmart because it works really well and it is cheap!! I have a feeling I will be there again tonight! I took a change of clothes and shoes with me for the car ride home. But the skunk smell and the chemical scent was still in my hands and arms. Pee hew!!! I stripped off as soon as I got home and had a good scrubbing. But my hands still smelled funny. I kept putting lotion on to get rid of the smell.My friend, with the stroke???, is still in the hospital and no news on that front. His brain is still swollen and they don't know anything more than they did almost two weeks ago!!! Sometime he is suppose to head to Moncton for further tests. No date yet!!!Well, not much else to add right now. Gotta get ready to take the boys to school..PS*** I have noticed a significant decrease in the number of journal entries lately. Has anyone else noted this!!! Or have my DS friends abandoned me. LOL!!Be well Debbie

No your not abandoned, I have noticed the same thing!LOL I don\'t know where alot of my friends have gone but hopefully they will be back soon.
That has to be a yucky job,there is nothing worse that a skunk smell. Your friend sure is lucky to have such a good friend as you! Alot of people would just run away leaving her on her own & you couldn\'t really blame them!!
I hope there is some improvement with your friend soon.

What a dilema with the dog! I tried a clonazepam on Buggy one thundering night and it didn\'t do anything for her. Maybe if you soak your hands in baking soda and water?? Or go the opposite way and wash them with vinegar??
