Another FitBit badge- 10 flights of stairs
Today I didn't focus on my steps, I focused on stairs. I didn't do my 5,000 steps, but I did 10 flights of stairs. It was easier than I thought it was going to be. I just walked up the stairs in one building, down the other side and then on to the next building. So I did have some rest between each set. I found going down stairs harder than getting up them for some odd reason. But I did it.. and then FitBit was like "Well, try for 25 flights now"! Yesterday I did 11,000 steps and it was like "Now try for 15,000"! It just keeps on pushing. It even says little things on the actual FitBit screen like "UCANDOIT" to encourage you along. I'm so happy with it. I'm glad I got it and didn't go for another brand. it even syncs with My Fitness Pal where I track my exercise to show calories burned and adds that to my daily calorie allotment. That's one of the major reasons I bought the FitBit over other pedometers. Plus it tracks sleep which I liked to know as well.
Other than that, my day was boring. I woke up in pain with a migraine and body aches from the Depakote withdrawals. I took my last dose on Thursday and when it's gone I will start tapering my Celexa and adding in Prozac. I'm hoping it kicks in for my bad times starting in October. I get really depressed after I go hypomanic in November and then spend the winter in a deep depression. This year it didn't leave me as fast... I'm still slightly depressed and just have had a bad year so far. I'm trying to make up for it now, but it's hard. I have so much I have to fight with the hallucinations and depression, as well as now I'm getting anxiety attacks. I don't know what's causing them. I haven't had them in years, and then suddenly I get a couple of them back to back. I guess I just have to say no to going to the grocery store on Saturdays when it's crowded and avoid places with a lot of people. I hate to have to do that, but I don't know any other way to avoid anxiety attacks. I should talk more with my therapist about that when i see her next week. I talked to her today and told her I volunteered yesterday, my great step count and my stairs. She was very proud of me. I felt good telling her that. I'm just glad I had some good news for her.

I am so jealous of your Fitbit! It sounds awesome!
I don\'t get anxiety attacks and I can\'t handle shopping on Sat and Sun due to the crowds.
you did amazing and that fitbit is great the way it works! as for being harder going down the stairs, it is because your weight is bearing down on all the joints in your leg, and all the pressure. plus one tends to favor the bad leg making the other leg work harder. yet you did it!!! I have never had migraines but know people who do and they suffer so much, I hope it goes away as soon as possible. I don\'t like crowds either, it makes me crazy. I take so much for anxiety that panic attacks don\'t really occur anymore but I still get the feeling of I have to get out. the only way to prevent this on the weekend is to go really early when the crowd is minimual. hugsssss
i totally love your fitbit and i want one!
congratulations on getting off of the drugs and tapering to the others. hope it works for you. i know a few people on prozac and they love it. princess diana was on that. she was an advocate for it when they wanted it off the market.
great work! xxoo
