ANOTHER DAY DONE!

Tuesday, 12-30-08:  Whew....another one down.  I had a sluggish day, for the most part.  I stayed in my p.j.'s until it was time to get ready to meet my friend.  LAZY ME!  On one hand I feel like I am wasting my time off.  On the other, I am tired and still puny.  I have been sleeping a lot! Dinner was nice.  We had "breakfast" at one of my favorite diners, Ziggies.  They serve all kinds of food, all the time.  They are not terribly expensive and the food is good.  It is also a great place to meet with a friend 'cause you can visit without feeling like you are being pushed out the door.  Good thing....we visited about 2 1/2 hrs.  She surprised me with a Christmas gift...a snuggly chair blanket and a candle.  She knows me well.   I did not have a gift for her.  The next time we meet I will take one, just because!  I found out she likes elephants, as I do.  But, she only has one.  I am trying to thin mine out so I will give her one of mine.  It is hard for me to part with my elephants.  But, I am more than happy to give them to someone I love.  Lyn has been my friend since 1972, although we lost each other for about 25 years.  She knows more about me than anyone.  She has never once judged me and has always supported me.  So, hopefully, when I give her one of my treasures, it will become a treasure to her.  After dinner I went to Target to return a purse Craig got me for Christmas.  It was a really nice purse.  It was just too small.  Yes, I am a suitcase/purse person.  My life is in my purse!  They didn't have anything I liked so I just got my money back.  I will go to the mall soon and find one there.  I am spending the money on a purse, though.   I also got some pictures developed.  I posted two of Melissa's headstone.  If you are reading this, and have a moment, please look at both of them.  They are quite beautiful!   Such a waste of a beautiful young woman....inside and out! The pictures that were taken of me, on Christmas, will never be seen by mankind!  OMG!  I have turned into a big, fat, cow!  I am getting busy with the Total Gym tomorrow!  I have put that off because Scott used it the day before he died and it is set on his level.  But, he wanted me to work out with him so I know he will not mind if I change the setting.  I just couldn't before now.  And, it is in his room so maybe he will be with me while I sweat and strain.  My personal trainer!  I guess this is progress.  But, I know I will cry when I change the setting. New Year's Eve tomorrow!!!! It seems like I minute ago I was floating in my pool.  I hope the next few months go by as quickly!  I am ready to float again.

Don\'t feel guilty about getting extra rest. You needed it! What a wonderful friend you have! My best friend and I have been together since 4th grade. People are always astonished about that,...we have a relationship that nobody could break,....and, our lunches have been known to last up to 4 hours!! lol!
Whatever you want to do you can accomplish. Just don\'t be hard on yourself. You have been through a lot, and that takes a toll on your body, too. When you are ready, start slowly, and work at your own pace, make small concessions to your diet, be kind to yourself, Hon! I hope the New Year will give you all you want and need. Love, Judy
