...and the day goes sliding downhill..

Started the day off with the usual GID and the subsequent attempts to keep it from grabbing my emotions and thoughts and dragging them down....repeating over and over "I'm fine...I'm fine...it's just gas...I'm fine"...then got up to feed the cats.
Not feeling fine, I sat down at the computer and got on this website to write in the journal, but a friend left me a message: she was in the Scary Space, so I sent her all the love I could. Then I added a discussion about "What to do between the bouts", and felt ok.
Tomorrow's Mother's Day. We usually spend it at the Renaissance Faire, which I love. Later today, my Dad's driving up to stay until Monday when he flies east. I very rarely see him, and he and I have had issues, which I recently have resigned to just let be (he's getting old, I don't want to be angry anymore), so I'm particularly anxious to be Normal tomorrow.
But today I do have to get his room ready; change and wash the sheets, and vacuum, and I have to get my teenager to do the bathroom. That's it; everything else is not that important...even that we need to go to Target because they have paper towels and toilet paper on sale and we need these things and money's tight so we have to buy things like these when they're on sale....
After doing the dishes, I suddenly found myself cleaning the stovetop (which was badly needed)...maybe it was what I said in my Discussion topic about "cleaning house between bouts"....but then it hits me...
That Feeling... shaking, sadness, stomach rolling, headache....all the signs. I know I didn't get enough sleep last night, and I was going to make up for it by napping today....
...oh, PLEASE. Goddess and all the Powers That Be....Please let this pass...in an hour...please let me not be menopausal while my dad is here and during Mother's Day...it's very, very important to me...
...I'm going to go get a hug from J (who's outside doing the garden) and attempt to take a nap.
Wish me luck.
