AND SO THE GARDEN GROWS..

OH, MY ACHING BACK!!! MY LITTLE GARDENING PROJECT YESTERDAY TURNED INTO A FOUR AND A HALF HOUR HUGE JOB!! WHAT WAS GOING TO BE JUST DIGGING OUT 2 LARGE LILIES AND THOSE PESKY LILY OF THE VALLEY PLUS REMOVING THE GRAVEL TURNED INTO A FULL BLOWN NEW GARDEN PROJECT. I DUG OUT EVERYTHING, TURNED OVER ALL THE SOILAND THEN ADDED NEW SOIL AND COMPOST. I THEN PLANTED FOUR BOXWOODS, THE CONE SHAPED. THEY ARE ONLY ABOUT A FOOT TALL RIGHT NOW BUT THEY WILL GROW. THE GARDEN IS ONLY SMALL AND WITH THE FOUNTAIN IN THERE PLUS THE ROD IRON CHAIR PLANTERS IT IS ENOUGH. OH, I ALSO PUT A REALLY NICE BIG ROCK IN THE FRONT. I FINISHED IT OFF WITH BLACK MULCH. IT LOOKS MUCH NEATER NOW. I ALSO TRIMMED SOME OF MY WEEPING MULBERRY BACK. NOW I MUST GIVE CREDIT TO HUBBY FOR HIS HELP. HE LUGGED THE SOIL, COMPOSE AND MULCH. HE ALSO TOOK AWAY ALL THE DEBRIS. AT ONE POINT I HAD TO HAVE HIM COME AND HELP GET OUT ONE OF THE LILIES. THE FREAKING THING HAD ROOTS TO CHINA....LOL!!! BUT I DID PAY FOR IT IN SPADES....I PEELED VEGGIES SITTING DOWN. THIS MORNING I AM OFF TO MY CHIROPRACTOR...GOOD TIMING.
CATCH YOU LATER, DEBBIE

I thought of you and all your hard work in the yard today when I walked the dogs and saw the over grown jungle in my front yard that is supposed to be a garden.
I have my \"running around\" stuff taken care of now til next saturday when I need to pick the baby back up so IF we are not having hurrican force winds/and or rain then I really need to spend the rest of this week out there trying to get caught up.
