An Invitation

You know, when I had started with RCIA, I was so excited about the new journey I was on. I even thought about keeping a journal each week, just to kind of recap what was discussed. When I was in college, that I learned better by keeping a notebook of important topics and things to remember, so I thought I'd apply that same rationale to my spiritual journey.
Needless to say, it didn't quite work out as planned. I never started one! Now I'm kicking myself for it; for not taking just an extra couple of minutes after the children were asleep to jot something down. Sure, I had no problem running through it in my head, but as time as taught me, we tend to forget things occasionally. 
I've started reading a neat book called, "Rediscover Jesus," written by Matthew Kelly. It was a gift from my RCIA teacher. It got me thinking about things. In the beginning of chapter 3, it reads, "There is a wonderful joy that comes from discovering something (or someone) for the first. There is also an immense joy that comes from rediscovering something (or someone)." 
Not too long ago, I sent a card to my aunt for Valetine's Day, which now I'm thinking was exactly what was discussed in that paragraph. An invitation for the two of us to reconnect. Here's hoping!
