amazing how the morning light affects me
Woke up at 4am this weekend morning. A decent time, since I usually start work around
that time. This morning however I when I first woke again felt the vastness of being alone in the world
here in my dark early morning home - and to boot I felt that I had no value.
Gratefully I started to remember what I do at work which is also part of the concept
of just questioning those types of feelings. I really want to share that the process
of questioning your feelings like that - when they're telling you you're low -
and so I remembered that reaching out to others and being positive by saying 'good
morning' and giving yourself those tasks around your home can really lift
your spirit...As the sun started to come up - I felt more and more like the day
had promise to it. Feeling positive and will strip the beddings now and wash them
and take a shower. Big bear hugs to you guys! Work is such a curative thing! :)

Gmorning Marko. Writing to you from a hotel breakfast room, and there are about five different people sitting alone at different tables. Nobody knows another person’s story but I would venture to say that many people feel all alone in the world at times. I know I felt alone in the last years of marriage when all went wrong…… so being in a relationship doesn’t mean there aren’t troubles that make one person feel isolation (these are my morning processes as I process through some personal things.)
Work and keeping busy is good. Doing things around the home always feels good.
Wishing you a happy Saturday from the mountains.
4 a.m. is my preferred hour for starting my day. i can't even blame it on my boss. i just cherish the peace and serenity of pre-dawn. shhhhhh, , , don't tell those dapper dudes with the butterfly nets. i'm a harmless nutjob, most days.
"the vastness of being alone in the world"
i love the line and am currently wondering if that is why i so miss my retired life during that meditative hour while i mentally prep myself for the vastness of 3 kids, 2 donkeys and 37 chickens gearing up for their days. once more, the proverbial grass is greener on the other side of the social distance. question the emotions attached? soon as i get a break. for now, they are just what i have to work with. i'll leave the questioning to the lucky dogs/cats who have the luxury of the vastness of being alone in the world.
thanks Nikki! Questioning is an important tool for me Arfie - as I can go to a blind, dark place without
realizing it's not real... for one I know I am not all alone in the world after questioning... it's a powerful thing
that I can get myself back on track and remember the reality of taking care of life - the task that
you automatically have.
I'm sorry you were struggling this morning with feelings of aloneness. I'm dealing with some of the same feelings (specifically, that I have limited value). Thank you for making *me* not feel alone! Have a great day!
You have value I promise
Big hug <3
ps ‘‘tis the season for art :)
Thanks Ladybug and lilmissy!!!
methinks what resonates so loudly in your phrase about the vastness in being alone in the world is that when i am away from people is when i feel the cosmic connections which make me feel far less alone than when i am attempting to connect with my fellow humans across the tenuous lines of words and social cues
when i am alone --away from my fellow humans-- i feel connected to a vastness which lives far beyond words.
Thanks Arfie!
