alot to do
Now that I am in the later years of my life, I often think about all the things I want to do before I meet my maker.
One of them is to make a video library of all the pictures I have ever taken. I have a huge book of negatives and many scrapbooks. This was before the internet came along and as technology changes then I must change. Alot of these are nature photography photos that I took when my hobbie was photography, hiking, and mountain climbing. I just want people to be able to see the world through my eyes in the photos I took. I would like this to be my legacy.
I have no kids to leave anything to, just a few nephews and niecies, I almost never see, but maybe they could be a source of help later on.
I have a little over a year to go before I can go on SSI but I want to continue to work, at least part time. I enjoy relating to my customers and it keeps me busy.
I have been divorced now for over 2 years and I have a hard time looking at photos where my wife was with me. I get a very sad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I know I need to be thankful for the good times we shared, and I am but I can't help but feel sad. We had some happy times b ut we also had some sad times. Like my dad use to say, that's what life is so why am I not over it yet. I need to let go.
I don't like to complain because I count my blessings every day. I have what I need and I don't need much. I am pretty happy at the moment, however, I have had to cut back on my running from every day, to once or twice per week. My back pain seems to be getting worse but I think my weight may have something to do with it. I am heavier now then I have ever been at 245 and while that doesn't slow me down very much, it's like carrying around an extra sack of potatoes when my most comfortable weight is around 210 or so.
I eat alot of fruits but not as much veggies as I should and I have a sweet tooth. Not a good thing and I know I need to cut back so I will try a little harder.
Outside of that, life is good. I am happy in my own little world. I laugh alot, love alot, and thank God every day for the wonderful friends I have here.
God Bless you all!

Good for you! Awesome journal entry
What a wonderful journal. Thanks for writing this.
getting photos together takes lots of work....hugs good luck too...
awesome.........
The photo project should keep you busy for a bit. I never go fast when doing that sort of thing because I have to stop and remember all the details. It will be rewarding for sure.
When you learn how to conquer the sweet tooth share please! The only tip I can give you is if it is not in the house you will not eat it.
Thankyou all I love all the help and support you guys give me. Hugs
Have you ever thought of doing a photography book? That would be a great project for you when you retire. Maybe even take some new pictures, it will get you moving, and climbing on and over things you never thought you would, just to get that special photo.
Hugs!
Good for you those sound like awesome goals. I know the feelings of sadness I was married 32 years and we have been separated now for 3 years or else it would be our 35th this year. Your an inspiration keep up the good work. Glad you are my friend.
I\'m a new friend here. I just want to say.......I like your soul. You seem like a good kind person. Like you I have sadness in my life (see my profile) but it\'s interesting you said here \"I am happy in my own little world\"........me too.
I guess that\'s how we get by in a world where we have lost things.
((((HUGS)))) Pat :-)
BOB, WE HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR 3 YEARS NOW AT LEAST. YOU ARE A GREAT GUY AND I WOULD LOVE TO CALL YOU MY BROTHER. WE HAVE GONE THROUGH SOME TOUGH TIMES TOGETHER AND SOME SAD TIMES WITH OUR FUR BABIES. BUT I HOPE WE WILL ALWAYS BE TOGETHER. STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF MY DEAR FRIEND.
GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS
LOTS AND LOTS OF HUGS
A great journal. The photo project sounds wonderful. A little at a time and I know you\'ll get it done.
Feeling your feelings, although somewhat painful, is better than being in denial. One Day at a Time dear friend.
Hey sweetie.. I\'m late getting to this, but I think the photo project sounds great too. I hope you know how much I love you and how thankful I am that you came into my life... I hope you do.
God Bless You...... xoxo
I want to do something very similar for my grand kids but I just can\'t seem to get started. Hugs!!
You know i used to feel like that before. Just kind of sluggish all the time. 245 is pretty heavy too. I became a vegetarian about 2 years ago. It took a few tries because i liked meet, but once i really started trying, and seeing the results I loved it. I have so much more energy, and feel great...as long as I don\'t drink. Meat stays in your system for 3 days, and most of your bodies chemicals that give us energy goes toward breaking down the protein in your system, and that\'s why we get tired all the time. Just watch most people after a meal, they want to sleep. Also our bodies just function a lot better without meat. We humans were never designed to be meat eaters.
I believe that a lot of the diseases people get are the results of not eating right. Check up on it, and try it for a month and see. just eat meat maybe twice a week in small portions, and then slowly cut it out. You can always have it here and there, but stick to lots of fruit and vegetables. And cut the condiments out. Most people are crazy with these. they have to put salt, ketchup, butter, and all kinds of shit on their food. That\'s a big problem. Stop eating just because it taste good. Eat because it\'s the right thing to do, and you will be healthier. At first, of course it\'s differant, and your body will react to it. You\'ll fart more, and other stuff, but after you get used to it you will want to run for miles. When I was in prison even a lot of the younger guys couldn\'t keep up with me when I worked out. I started doing yoga in there, and I couldn\'t believe what I was able to do. Give it a try. what have you got to lose, except weight? You\'ll save money too. it\'s a lot cheaper than buying meat. I can tell you lots of tips to help if you want. And how old are you? Your sounding like your ready to kick the bucket, and I don\'t believe that. I will be 55 this August. Sometimes I get worried too, but for today I\'m still very young at heart. The way I look at it, I might have another 20-30 years, so I\'m not going to worry about that today. love ya, pal. all the best. James
Oh yea, I forgot to say too, that the only way you get cholesteral is by eating meat and dairy products. Cholesteral is produced by things that have a liver. Read up on it. If you eat, or drink anything that\'s made from something that has a liver, it\'s got cholesteral in it. Pretty darned simple, but Dr\'s hardley ever tell you about that. Later. James
