All Fired Up
I have this problem that I will never give up hoping things will become fair and even and that some of the damn evil and hate may disappear. Any of you who know me (from my endless chatter) do know I am constantly bringing up "my perfect world". (And yes, I do grow tired of trying to justify that it just may one day be here. I understand it is something I may only come across in the hereafter... but I have alot of behaving and "Hail Marys" to try to get there . lol)
I had to stop at H&R Block after work to get them to look over and send in more paperwork. It seems now I was being questioned about having a deceased person listed . If they would have looked , they could see he passed on January 30, 2020. That is why he was listed on the 2019 return. The woman was very helpful and then we got talking covid crap. I thanked her for we both were fine without our masks. She was telling me that friends of hers (One's daughter died in a car accident) Another had someone who passed with no issues or ever even tested for it... but the cause of deaths were listed as COVID. She knows someone who works in another city in PA and they are listing many deaths as a result of Covid. (It seems the hospital gets more funding for higher numbers. )
There was also a man who tested positive but had no symptoms. They did follow up and test again to be sure if it was indeed positive. He never did have any symptoms (was asymptomatic) but they did test him 2 more times. THEY COUNTED ALL 4 TESTS.
There was another man who went to the hospital because he had something wrong with his eye. They said they needed to test him because eye pain was another symptom. He refused, went on his way and got it taken care of somewhere else. 2 weeks later, he got a call from a lab in Arizona saying he tested positive for Covid. He told them he refused the test ... they asked if he wanted his name removed from the positive list? He said well, yeah. (That also would have counted for a case. }
So here we are in the land of fraud and tainted numbers. Then I hear that Trump got the unemployment $ down from $600 to $400. Which makes perfect sense to me. Hell, noone wants to go to work. They are afraid of fake numbers and being paid well to STAY HOME AND OUT OF WORK. Meanwhile businesses are being forced to close... our economy is tanking and the LIBS are smiling like cheshire cats. If unemployment grows as well as our debt (and the artificial numbers of covid) they may have a shot of getting rid of Trump.
Now they have a Senile Candidate for President, but they are backing him with a black woman... So they will aim for the women and minorities . It will be just like with Obama all over again. It scares me as I think about all the "hope and change " that he brought... In my eyes, none good, but rather more division and anger and pushing his agenda and stepping on and ignoring traditional values . There are many now claiming racism, but frankly they need to take a closer look as just as much is reversed on a plain old hard working American ( or caucasian). Many here want to burn our flags and bring us down as they think we are too proud. WTF?
So in his defense (even though he is rather abrasive and speaks before he thinks... I know many others who do that too. ) He has a great head for business and the economy... he tries very hard to do as he said (in spite of being fought at every turn) He is proud of our country and supports our military and now he even finds himself having to defend our monuments and our history.... but he continues to do so. He has been attacked and ridiculed at every turn (if I think about it, most conservatives are. We are lucky he is a little thicker skinned) I know I will piss some on here off... But I truly hope and pray that he gets back in. Otherwise, we will continue to throw money away and may very well become just as they hope ... a ward of the govt. (Only one problem... Has anyone ;looked closely at just how the govt is "run" ? and I use that term loosely.
And PS they are trying to tack on the additional $200 a week unemployment to a postal bill passing soon so the $s will inflate again keeping everyone AWAY from their jobs.
This is not helping my anxiety. I think I need a drink... or a doobie. lol

Well to be fair he was a business man first, then a reality star, and CA elected the Terminator for governor so a thing can happen in the US.
I grew up very poor, on welfare, title 19, etc. and I’m white. There are plenty of white Americans getting assistance so it’s not just a certain race or status. That’s the piece that gets left out. Big companies get handouts too, just in a different way. I work at a big company so I’m just being honest that “welfare” comes in all different ways.
Assistance for those in need is not inherently bad. It’s actually morally the right thing to do.
I think reforming the system makes sense as it’s not a sustainable model, in my opinion.
He just spoke publicly and said he is the only thing standing between us and anarchy and economic collapse. I get the agree to disagree on most things but when the president uses fear to keep power in such a blatantly dishonest tactic I just can’t understand anyone wanting someone like that as our leader. Bad things happen when fear is rampant and he is fanning the flames for HIS agenda. That’s like saying about the guy yelling fire in a crowded movie theater:, ‘ya, I get that what he did is dangerous but that’s just who he is’. Agree to disagree? No. The guy is just wrong. Period. No wiggle room there.
Um, everyone uses fear mongering tactics in politics. The right is doing it right now and the left is doing it too right now. That’s why people are foolish for hanging their hopes and dreams on ANY political candidates. It’s all bullshit.
I feel like the finer point here is that this is Kim’s journal for her to express herself and she’s gracious enough to allow people to comment. So why pick a fight with her about it? It’s interesting to me people have championed her to find a voice and stand up and be strong. When she does but it doesn’t fit their beliefs, then it’s like, whoa there, let me show you how much you don’t know. Or I like you opinionated but only when it suits me. Like I said, I don’t agree with everything she said but I don’t have to and she doesn’t need me to either. And it’s ok.
@rmb... I do want to thank you for reminding me that I am allowed to speak my mind and have an opinion. You mentioned earlier about us usually hanging close to like minded people... and I do have to say that was something that Dave would occasionally bring up (I always thought he was doing it to stress me out ) In fairness, you do (and he did) have a valid point. Sometimes actually listening to another's take on something may bring up a point we otherwise would not hear.
As far as me finding my voice... well, I am afraid I have found it now and carry a large soapbox with me to champion things I believe. I do get very fired up about some of this stuff these days. Believe it or not , I never gave politics a thought or even voted before the big O. ALL politicians these days have an agenda. For me it is the lesser of two evils. In my eyes. I would rather have someone who is proud of our country and supports and stands up for our military , our businesses ( and balancing trade to bring our business back here rather than having us rely or become indebted to other countries not playing fair) Because he speaks of building a wall and cracking down on illegals coming across our borders in droves (and yes some very rough criminals as well) he is seen as an evil racist. To many of us he is simply trying to allow those taking the legal process to come here for a better opportunity and life a fair shot rather than rewarding those who ignored the law to do what they wanted because they are promised free room, board and healthcare from the left...( just don't forget who to vote for .because their votes are adding in these days.
Jason you speak of fear.?.. for my eyes, I see the fear .of those hearing constantly from the media of inflated numbers of Covid being afraid to go out into the world again back to a normal shot at life. I watch as they continue to give phenomenal amts of cash to reward people to stay home and out of work. The jobs and businesses will disappear. The fact that the left seems so eager to come across as compassionate (knowing full well this may influence those to vote for who does show them the money) Most people do not consider we do not have this money to start with and eventually we will be controlled and cared for by the govt. (which is their ultimate goal. and look at the job they have done thus far? (This scares me to death. Add to the fact that I am not drinking the kool aid on the PC train. Just where do you think that will put me on their list of concerns???? I will be in as bad a shape as when the big O was in and disrespecting Christians while building up the Muslim Americans he was so proud of to make his new better world that he and Michele were finally proud of.
As many are pushing their agenda and the envelope to rewrite history, remove anything they don't like, (including monuments of some in our history because they had something not PC they did 100 years ago).... Trump is the one who is holding people responsible for their actions promising hefty fines and jail time for vandalizing what is barely left of our history.
I was fired up and upset for awhile about this... To be fair... I am a firm believer in trying to understand why people are the way they are with dysfunction.... I use this same tool now to look close and understand that WE ALL ARE ENTITLED TO OUR BELIEFs. And we all will have our own conclusions based on WHERE we are located... WHO we listen to...WHAT INFO we are fed constantly is what we will focus on and believe.
I still wish we had even a handful willing to stand up and work together to improve things across the board... and I still wish that I was also allowed an opinion along with many others who don't agree with the PC police..

I’m not a reactionary person generally yet the content of this view threw me off.
It is sad how divisive the state of things are now. I don’t know how we will come back from this.
Jason that is the thing...it is and should be allowed and ok to say what we feel or think.
Unfortunately I do think those particulars...what, where and who we listen to do much to influence our opinions. I also agree about this horrible divisiveness that has come between us is very worrisome and hard to come back from.
Is very sad to me.
Actually still thinking about this whole thing and have come to this realization... Whichever side we are on, maybe this is a good thing that we do get fired up (passionate) about our views? It is a sign that WE DO still CARE. Just unfortunate that those with some actual power don't always seem to care as much. Perhaps because they do see themselves above having to deal with it all, while we mere mortals are stuck in the middle of it.
Getting back to the subject .... I too think we should ( and many have a definite need ) provide help for those in need. Where I live, there are many instances where many have discovered how to "use the system" to their benefit, while I have seen and heard many who also could use a hand. but for them. they are just over the limit so they do continue to struggle to simply survive. It is like with anything else... things originally put into place to help others do just that. Unfortunately, over time there are those all too familiar with taking advantage of these programs and "adjusting" them to fit a slightly off target narrative. This is again where I (and I think others) do get frustrated.
We're on the same page here. I am praying for our country. We need God's help desperately!
