All Fired Up
I have this problem that I will never give up hoping things will become fair and even and that some of the damn evil and hate may disappear. Any of you who know me (from my endless chatter) do know I am constantly bringing up "my perfect world". (And yes, I do grow tired of trying to justify that it just may one day be here. I understand it is something I may only come across in the hereafter... but I have alot of behaving and "Hail Marys" to try to get there . lol)
I had to stop at H&R Block after work to get them to look over and send in more paperwork. It seems now I was being questioned about having a deceased person listed . If they would have looked , they could see he passed on January 30, 2020. That is why he was listed on the 2019 return. The woman was very helpful and then we got talking covid crap. I thanked her for we both were fine without our masks. She was telling me that friends of hers (One's daughter died in a car accident) Another had someone who passed with no issues or ever even tested for it... but the cause of deaths were listed as COVID. She knows someone who works in another city in PA and they are listing many deaths as a result of Covid. (It seems the hospital gets more funding for higher numbers. )
There was also a man who tested positive but had no symptoms. They did follow up and test again to be sure if it was indeed positive. He never did have any symptoms (was asymptomatic) but they did test him 2 more times. THEY COUNTED ALL 4 TESTS.
There was another man who went to the hospital because he had something wrong with his eye. They said they needed to test him because eye pain was another symptom. He refused, went on his way and got it taken care of somewhere else. 2 weeks later, he got a call from a lab in Arizona saying he tested positive for Covid. He told them he refused the test ... they asked if he wanted his name removed from the positive list? He said well, yeah. (That also would have counted for a case. }
So here we are in the land of fraud and tainted numbers. Then I hear that Trump got the unemployment $ down from $600 to $400. Which makes perfect sense to me. Hell, noone wants to go to work. They are afraid of fake numbers and being paid well to STAY HOME AND OUT OF WORK. Meanwhile businesses are being forced to close... our economy is tanking and the LIBS are smiling like cheshire cats. If unemployment grows as well as our debt (and the artificial numbers of covid) they may have a shot of getting rid of Trump.
Now they have a Senile Candidate for President, but they are backing him with a black woman... So they will aim for the women and minorities . It will be just like with Obama all over again. It scares me as I think about all the "hope and change " that he brought... In my eyes, none good, but rather more division and anger and pushing his agenda and stepping on and ignoring traditional values . There are many now claiming racism, but frankly they need to take a closer look as just as much is reversed on a plain old hard working American ( or caucasian). Many here want to burn our flags and bring us down as they think we are too proud. WTF?
So in his defense (even though he is rather abrasive and speaks before he thinks... I know many others who do that too. ) He has a great head for business and the economy... he tries very hard to do as he said (in spite of being fought at every turn) He is proud of our country and supports our military and now he even finds himself having to defend our monuments and our history.... but he continues to do so. He has been attacked and ridiculed at every turn (if I think about it, most conservatives are. We are lucky he is a little thicker skinned) I know I will piss some on here off... But I truly hope and pray that he gets back in. Otherwise, we will continue to throw money away and may very well become just as they hope ... a ward of the govt. (Only one problem... Has anyone ;looked closely at just how the govt is "run" ? and I use that term loosely.
And PS they are trying to tack on the additional $200 a week unemployment to a postal bill passing soon so the $s will inflate again keeping everyone AWAY from their jobs.
This is not helping my anxiety. I think I need a drink... or a doobie. lol

I agree with you on the unemployment compensation. I‘ve seen first hand what it has done to the labor pool. Keeping a manufacturing plant staffed has become next to impossible. I say no additional dollars. Get out and get a job like you’re supposed to. Hugs.
I agree on some of this; some I see a little differently but having your own thoughts and ideas and being able to express them is ok! Really tired of the thought police mentality happening in the world today.

I thought the $600 was excessive but if family of four was one member working one caring for two children then $600 is not really too much.....basically we are growing our debt this is horrid truth of the USA....we will never be out of debt.....and yet we still give away so much of what we are borrowing to those who should be borrowing on their own damn dime.....not our chairity....support the USA and think of our worth in terms of how we help ourselves and not how we fund under earning countries....but some just need help and we are the big old Lolly Pop SUCKER they see......
As for the political shit I am not discussing any of it....not my favorite topic and I told MaryContrary in text yesterday that I would prefer that she remove me from political stuff she has spammed me with....I will vote and I am now going into that with some hope....
And this is the thing ....why our country has been considered GREAT... Because we are to have our freedom and individual rights....and beliefs. To SPEAK our mind....to bear arms....To have religious beliefs....
ALL OF US....Sadly now unless we agree wholeheartedly with the libs,we are silenced and ridiculed.

I am quietly confident that people like you are in the silent majority. The media and most vocal voices on twitter may be pro nonsense with this woke “social justice” (they ought to look up the meaning of justice). But I like to think most of America will see sense. It is scary times. America’s first amendment is arguably one of the most valuable things a nation could have. Yet one side in America is happy to take it away. But I have hope.
Thank you 88. As I do come across others....many do share my beliefs and concerns. I (and MANY of us over here) are taking this election and our voices very seriously . (Our next concern is voter fraud)
But as I take a breath and climb down off my soap box...I need to remember the only thing I can do is cast my vote and say some prayers.

As far as our debt goes it was completely out of reality before Corona.

I would say I agree to disagree .And the difference is that I still believe in our individual freedoms and that we are ALL entitled to our own opinions. Sadly, these days that is only "allowed or encouraged" if we bow to the politically correct or the media tainted versions we are fed 24/7 on 95% of the stations.
And if he should be locked up... then what about Hillary for compromising intelligence by using insecure accts ? Or for her and dear old Barrack for lying to all of us (including the families of Chris Stevens and the 3 others that were brutally murdered ) because they could not let word get out weeks before another big election that this was an act of terrorism against the US and Americans? To me PEOPLE are important and certainly their lives (or loss of them) That is not something to be lied about to change the agenda Their families deserved to know the truth and not have to learn it later from others who were there and did try to save them.
Trump may be arrogant and a bit of a tyrant... but the stomping feet (in my eyes anyway) have been on the left ever since his big toe did enter the White House. If only BOTH SIDES (or at least some of them) had TRIED to work together and n0t piss away all that time and energy (not to mention the billions of dollars wasted) with endless attempts for impeachment.... think of what good that could have done???

Like I said... agree to disagree. I am very saddened that things have come to this ... truthfully, I know all politicians do seem to go toward the hand that feeds them ... special interests win out over the true betterment of our people and our country. Like I said... I will always search and hope and pray for that perfect world where we ALL could agree to work together and coexist peacefully without the blame and name calling . I look forward to the day when ANY "president" will actually take blame when it does fall on his shoulders.
I would just like to be able to speak my mind or beliefs or opinion and not be labeled a Nazi or racist... but rather one who believes ALL lives matter (not just the blacks or illegals who come for a free handout and an easy vote) I clearly was born into the wrong era.
There is a song I hear playing over and again by Ed Sheeran called What Do I Know that sums up very wise words from his father telling him to steer clear of politics, religion and other people's quarrels on You Tube . Is worth a listen.

I am not super political and find discussing politics pointless since it’s so highly emotional for most people and no one really tries to hear what the other saying. It’s just noise and rhetoric, BOTH sides. CNN and MSNBC is no different than Fox News, since they all have a specific point of view than leans far to one side.
I lean moderate with a dash of libertarianism so that’s usually where I feel most people land but we never hear thise voices in media ever. It’s not interesting I suppose. Extremism on either side feels like a form of radicalization. That’s what’s happening right now, again on both sides. Social issues should not be capitalized on be either side, in my opinion. It feels like personal gain at the expense of real freakin’ problems and issues people experience just trying to cope with day to day life. I think both sides have things to answer for in terms of creating a narrative and misrepresenting information for political gain.
I get really tired of other people telling me how to think and feel. It’s a form of control and elitism that actually makes me want to fight back and be contrary even when I agree, just to show, you can’t tell me what I should believe. Bow down to no one, not Trump or Biden or anyone in between.
So here is what I will always defend: freedom of speech and thought, even when I don’t agree. I remember very clearly an episode of an old Bill Maher show when the discussion was speech and he said something like, sometimes you have to defend what’s wrong in order to defend what’s right. I take that to mean you can’t believe in free speech and free thought when it only fits your belief system or point of view. People like to surround themselves with like minded people and I get that to a degree but we do ourselves no favors sometimes when we just commiserate amongst our mirror selves. I have super liberal friends who are activists, for real, not just big talkers, and I have friends who are politically, fiscally or morally conservative. Who am I to say what they should think and believe? Plus every once in a while they make me think about something I didn’t consider. Everyone is so afraid to think about things that don’t align with their own ideas.
Anyway, as Kim said, agree to disagree. This is how friends can navigate those differences.
In Australia where I live, we still don't understand how a reality star became your 'president' ??? I imagine many, many white people come for free hand-outs and easy votes also, personally, I believe we need to help refugees that flee their torturous countries and accept them with open arms. I respect your opinion, thank god we live in a democratic society where we are all able to express our opinions. (well, my country anyway)
