Alone
You will be alone within a short time. It will start with the death of the bird.
And so it goes. The words above were given to me six months before my husband died. Back then I had a bird, a dog, a husband, my father. All of us were happy. Then the bird died and my husband followed within months. Then the dog died a few months later. And finally my father only his death is not a physical one.
So, I'm alone. Not lonely, but the prophesy has been fulfilled. I can literally feel the emptyness in the house. This inspite of my new pet bird.

wow, who told you that? Stopped undestanding why we would know of something coming if nothing we can do to change it nor get prepared for loss. Have had the \'gift\' all my life but don\'t consider it a gift. Prefer when able to give encouragement instead. Share good news and hope. Hugs to you girl. xoxox
Who told you that? They were right on for you. Encouragement is much better. I agree with dcsmbs. Being alone doesn\'t have to be loneliness. It is what you make of your life now that counts. Aren\'t you learning Spanish? It challenges the brain and that is what we need. I like coming home to my own place and I have made it mine now. Before, I moved in with Smokey it was still his place. Now I have made changes to make it mine. There is a difference. It is cozy and warm, which is what I wanted it to be all along. I have the noise of the busy traffic outside and the people walking up above me. All the best for you in learning to be okay living alone in your place with the bird. We are strong woman and survivors. It\'s all good. There is God\'s purpose for our lives and God is not finished with us yet. from Diane B.
I\'ve always said it was the gift of God. The vision came to me as I lay in bed. I was not asleep.
