Again, Is ti just me?

I tok my sister to a church picnic on Sunday. Between my sister and my brother they decided that my father should also go. I talked my brother into taki8ng him so that if he got tired or had a problem he could take him home and I wouldn't have to leave with my sister early.
The nest day after this plan was made my brother asked if I would pick him and my father up and take them to the picnic. Why? because my brother didn't have the money for gas. But since I can save my money and afford gas I should take them. This is regardless of it being three times as far for me to go and get my dad as it is for my brother and so I would have to spend more money and use more gas or that it totally defeats the purpose of my brother going at all so that there is a ride for my father so we dont all have to leave when he is ready to go home. But I only tell him no I wouldn't it wouldn't be practical.
The picnic starts at 4:00 and I have to pick up my sister which is two and a half miles in the opposite direction of the picnic park which is six miles away.  So I leave at about 3:25. I get home at 7:45 and there is a message on my machine.
My brother called at 3:38.
My brother: Kevin!. It's your brother (he used his name but ...)
Are you there? I wasted to know what time you were planning to arrive at the picnic. call me right back. (then he left his phone number).

so is it just me or is this a stupid call. The picnic starts at four across town and he calls 12 minutes before that and not only expects me to be home but expects me to call him back right away. And how can it matter when I get there? Isn't he planning to get there himself in time to eat which is probably just after four?
Anyway, I'm at the picnic and waiting in line to get food and see my brother arrive and walk to the front of the line where my sister is and get his food. I wait another ten minutes in line because , well I respect the line. I never thought that it was my right to cut in line just because my sister got in line before I did.
But all in all , and after that bothersome message on my machine, the picnic was alright. I ate my fill and watched kids play volley ball.
Oh and I am going to appear to be a jerk again to my brother because my father siad he would like to go to church and my brother asked me if I would take him and I told him I didn't want to. He asked me again will IO take him to Church and I again siad I do not want to.
I don't really mind one way or the other if my father wants to go I just do not wnat to take him. I want to go to church and study the bible and worship God and maybe refelct on my life and have a little social time with others. I do not wnat to babysit my blinding, deafened father with Alzheimers. He would not enjoy it anyway, He only siad he wnated  to go to church again becuase it would mean getting out of his living assistance facility. But he would not like being taken out before breakfast and staying there past lunch and having to sit and listen to music he cna't hear well osnd does nto like *they play modern christian music at my church) or sit through a sunday school class where he cna't hear what they are saying and cna't read any of the Bible or work pages. etc... it would be a pain in the butt for me to have to drive an axtra 15 miles to get him and take him back and an extra half of an hour on both sides of going to church and have to sit with him and have him asking me what everyone is saying or what we are doing over and over, etc...
Plus, I have never had any kind of personal connection with my father. We have no memories of anything good after I was about ten. I'm 50 now). and he never seems to have anything to say to me that doen'st turn into some kind of confusioin or anger or irritation on both our parts. He and I do not have happy fun times when we are together. It is always strained and forced and I don't like being around him. I don't like pitying him for his situation and that is all I do. He used to be such a strong figure to me and now all he does is whine and complain and criticize me.Besides, My father cannot remember that he wants to go to church until someone takes him to church or a church function. And then he does not remember that he went there sometimes whitin an hour of having been there. It woulf al be a mess and a waste of time.
So I do not want to take him anywhere especially to babysit him for four hours at church.
So I'm a jerk. I dont care what my brother or anyone else thinks. I don't have any problem with not taking my father to church.
