afraid to trust myself... going to extremes

I came home from work today, and rather than go to an event where my Dad, sister and Stepmom were,

I decided to stay home. I did laundry, ate a meal, watched TV and drank some wine. I was tired

and felt the need to hermit away myself in a self pleasure kind of way. I have been feeling extreme fatigue

lately and I felt the need to catch up with myself, if that makes sense. However that pleasure thing got theĀ

better of me and I felt just kind of blind to my sense of order and interdepence out there. It's a paradox

to need to be alone and independently recharged and yet then once you feel satisfied as it were I feelĀ

the major charge to be back amongst the land of the living. Perhaps I should take to my therapist about this.
I feel like way too earthy and repugnant but I won't focus on that. I will choose happy and productive.

And what is balance but a space between the extremes?

It's okay to be a mixed bag, my waffling questioner. Welcome to the human species.

For me, alone time is when I recharge best. I am an introvert, and would rather spend time with myself than anyone else. You can depress yourself easily while alone but also you time to reflect. It is like looking into a pool; you see your reflection, but also know the deep.

Take joy in the reflection of your soul and reject the depth of despair.
