accounting for my time, anxiety and downtime
I find myself dealing with an old issue today. It's the issue that sent me over the
edge psychologically at one point and sent me to hospital. That issue is that I feel like I've had the need
to have a logic or an accounting of all the time I spend and an inability to appreciate so well
or put into context all the activities in which I partake.
I think it's anxiety but I am realizing that at a certain point I need to rest and have 'goof off' downtime.
Maybe a lot of it... But in truth I think I need to adjust my perspective on how to cope with my body.
And treat it well. I was just so busy this morning - and I kept moving forward - like i was kind of out of control... Like I had to go to the next and the next and the next, not knowing my limits or aware of how
to stop - so I finally sat down on the couch. I was sick of all the screens in my life - Iphone, Laptop, TV.
I just realized I needed to make sense of it - and now I think I have.. I need to listen to my body
and give myself "goof off" downtime - but also keep up with all I need to do.

just finished the washing and drying the bedding. I made the bed. Now I think I'll go to Starbucks.
A little reward. :-)
it was a good hot chai tea latte.... definitely time to give myself what I want and need..no need for apprehensiveness..
I'll do my work but also fill in the gaps
There's a way to let yourself 'be' and you're on the right track to know that the sense of 'being' is yours. Good work!
Thanks Mid!
In Alanon, we often call it, "Human Doing Mode" when we need to have productive accountability for every minute of every day. A mock reminder we sometimes use to remind ourselves that we are Human Beings, not human doings, is to take out an imaginary starting gun and say,
On your mark. . .
Get set. . .
! ! !SIT! ! !
As human beings, it is okay to just be.

I had a chai too! Except with a shot of espresso.
Blue can help you keep still and enjoy stillness. Ive just gotten home and am in for the night. Bella has jumped up to comfort me and its a good reason for me to just simply ‘be.’
Thanks Arfie!! I will look at the clip!!
Thanks Nikki! I've never had coffee with chai!
