Acceptance
Do I write this and make it pretty (and skirt the issue) or do I just tell the truth..?
I am seeing how it is difficult for some people to talk about problems and things, I’m feeling that limitation right now.
Last night I was thinking about a whole bunch of things including ‘acceptance’ of my mental disability.
Someone at a shop I went to charged me a price which really seemed like her summarization of my character. It was for a big purchase and yet it felt unavoidable for me to consider it, I mean consider what she said about me.
Last night and this morning I just thought about ‘acceptance’ and how even so in the face our realities we accept our circumstances but are determined to put a positive bright sunny face on things.
It’s important to do I think in the sense that it honors the totality of who we are and not just those parts that are limited but also considers the experiences of those around us. In other words, I’m not the only one who has to accept things but also as others are coping with their days, our bitching and moaning won’t disrespect their struggle in the day too. It goes both ways.

It has been said that people with mental illness find it Easier to talk about problems, than neurotypical people.
Not necessarily about our Own illness and problems, but we have the ability to talk about Real things, deep things, instead of just "surface talk".
The phrase "Be kind to everyone, because everyone is going through some sort of trouble" is true, though.
Maybe that woman didn't think before speaking to you. Maybe she regrets it. Maybe she just didn't realize how it sounded..
You are You, and created that way, and that's your focus!
Thanks GT
in my pre-therapy use of the royal we, i earnestly believed i had the power (responsibility?) to know what other people were thinking and going through in life. WE are all the same, aren't WE? i'm the omniscient queen of the universe, aren't i? it be my responsibility to just WE it all.
fast forward a few decades and that psychotick is still on my watch list, lest i backslide into it anew, but life is a greater adventure without those assumptions. it's easier to pray for the healing of rude strangers in public places. i don't need to know what triggered them to rudeness to offer healing prayers. silently from a safe social distance, of course.
Thanks Arfie!
