about nonsense.

Hi,
I didn't want to whine yesterday.  Lodge no complaint against the universe......nurture any ill will at all for the blows of illness that rain down.
So I emptied my pretty little head of all of that......sat and just hit keys.  Didn't think.  Didn't process or edit or try to make it cohesive or good or bad or mean anything.  Just a bit of open mic journal time.  It doesn't always have a path or a plan, it's just words tumbling out of the open mouth of marshmallow fluff.  You wouldn't think a jar of marshmallow fluff sitting above the neck and shoulders would be so heavy but it is.
It kept me a bit more cheerful cause I didn't go negative.  Seems that I've been awake for the night shift now for almost a month.  Not an all nighter, but until 4 or 5 am.  Tried to thwart the jet lag but haven't been able to return to days or conquer a schedule being up nights and conking out most of the sunlit day.  It's a twisty turny road that is more confusing that anything.
Pretty excited, I brushed my teeth.  And hair.........put it up in a pony.  My bangs are getting really long again.....Dad would've teased about "his little sheep having wool hiding her pretty blue eyes".  That sentence has me tearing up.  So funny........so many of his funny little sentiments seemed so dumb way back when, but now I treasure them all.
The butterfly bushes are in full bloom........pretty shades of raspberry & pink.  The tiny blooms have an ombre effect........how "modern" they are to take after current fashion.  Everything old truly does become new again.  The blooms attract some very pretty butterflies..........they hover and dance through the sunlight and land here......flit there.  Turn up the music and enjoy a free ballet outside the french doors!
Bruce called last night, he planned to golf this morning and then come this way to do some planning and digging.  He's supposed to call shortly to see if I'm awake.  14 plants and one small tree are on the agenda for relocation.  Amazingly enough I am, sitting up.......still in pj's, but up.  My sinuses are giving me fits.........maybe I should live in an Arizona climate?  Am I allergic to the cats?  Can you become allergic to your own house? Something has made me more sneezy, itchy, wheezy, le miserable this year.  Letl's move on........please ignore the last two sentences, just scratch them from the witness testimony.
The trash is ready to go to the curb.  Good job Ruthie Bird!  I have told myself that this would be a good day to wipe out the frig.  It's so empty, hardly anything to move..........I have the vinegar sitting on the counter.  White vinegar is so good for so many things..........refreshing the frig interior is on the list!
What else?  Not sure........maybe when I am more awake I'll go back and read what I wrote yesterday and see if there is any hope of making it into cohesive anything.  It really had no plan other than to exercise the mind.
In other news.......my sister and her hubby made it home safely!  They had a lovely vacation with her daughter, hubby and 4 little ones!  It's a long drive from Iowa to South Carolina and back again.  It takes them around 20 hours each way if I remember right.  My sister will be posting pics soon of their big adventure.
My son Sam sounds tense.  He feels bad for being so tense.........seriously needs to set some boundaries with work.  He was just getting home last night around 8:30 and then he said he still had business calls to make plus make dinner.  He is not well rounded ..........it's not my place anymore, but if it were I'd like to sit down with his Dad and have a chat.  His Dad needs to hire more help.......Sam is burnt out.  So burnt out.  Try to talk to Sam about it and he gets more tense......he doesn't seem to be seeking a solution, just feels that it is the way it is and as such.... there is tension, resentment............he's not a child, he's very smart.  I suggested that he call for a one on one meeting with his Dad immediately after having a staff meeting.   To put things on the table, to call for resolution and to be ready with active ideas towards resolution.  I know things are not as easy to do as it sounds......I know they are a small staff, but my goodness.........I see Sam pushing way too hard.......I see him unable to effectively recharge his batteries so he can live a more balanced life. He will find his effectiveness & productivity losing direction and power.....and that makes the resentments appear even bigger than before............he is so mad at the situation, his Dad says he's gonna do this, fix that, change stuff, but he's not following through..........Dad is so distracted.  It's not my place to butt in.........but I do have plenty of time to pray.
Lord.......help me know what to say to Sam, to know how to listen and not put my two cent solution in.......understand that while there are no pat answers, it can get better, it's not as impossible as Sam feels like it is...........I don't want to break the trust Sam has placed in me by going to his Dad and expressing my concerns.  So again, I turn to you Lord, to ask you for help and some of your famous ingenious solutions.......In Jesus Name Amen.
P.S. Lord please watch over me and my dear friends.........they are so good to me, always stopping by, always with time for a kind word or a hug.............appreciate them and appreciate you Heavenly Father.....Amen.
Ok done talking now, tired fingers, achy wrists, gonna go see what I can rustle up for lunch.  Hugs.....Chatty Sparrow

Nobody recognizes \"tired\" or \"Burnt out\" better than us! I\'m sure that\'s how you see it in Sam. The eyes have it!! There\'s a news broadcaster in our area. Every time I see her, she is seated. Her eyes have that lackluster, dazzed look! Her skin is pale. I tell Bobby she has CFIDS. I tell him \"I can tell\". We do have a certain pasty discoloration to our skin, and circles under our eyes from all the bone weariness we live with. I hope you can find the right things to say to your son!

When I read your \"nonsense\" journal, I was post b/day crashed and fogged up. It almost made perfect sense to me. I was just waiting to see where it was going! Dunno! I didn\'t think it was that off the wall. I think I\'M off the wall....so I blended in well with your story telling. Maybe someday you\'ll finish it....whatever it was.........Madaam Chatty!!
