Peter Kassig was 26. He grew up nearby, went to the same high school as my children, had classes with my daughter. Ended up in Syria to found an aid group to assist refugees. He was the young man beheaded this weekend by ISIS.
Please hold his parents close to your heart and prayers - I do not know them personally but we all are close to understanding their grief and agony. I cannot even begin to fathom how it must be to lose your only child in such a terrible fashion. It truly does break my heart.

My heart breaks as I read about this young man and for you to have this personal connection as well just brings it so very close my friend.
I\'m beyond sorry that this kind of violence lives in our world and that this family must know this agony and path... There are just no words that feel fitting...
