"A woe is me moment"

Don't know if this has happened to any of you or not but I learnt my lesson last night with ice cream. I've never really been a fan of ice-cream but since EC surgery I seem to crave it ~~ go figure ~~ Sorry if this is long winded but thought I'd share my "experience" with you lol. Last night went out for dinner (grandson's 6th birthday) and decided to have a warm brownie fudge sundae for dessert. Now I'm thinking at this stage I shouldn't do it but as usual my eyes were bigger than my belly. I must admit it was kinda yummy and I did enjoy it but I "knew" I was going to regret it. Boy did I ever !!!! About 20 minutes later WAR was declared in my abdomen............ talk about rumbling, gurgling, you name it - it was happening !!!!!! Thankfully by this time I was home at my daughter's place and I will spare you the details about what happened next lol. But the weird thing is since surgery I have trouble vomiting - I only dry retch (sorry about being a bit graphic). By this time I was wishing I was on another planet or at best not in this body - I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or what I was so miserable. Needles to say I was chastizing myself why, why did I do it and was angry with myself thinking yeah I'll be ok ......... well guess what Annie it wasn't OK. As my daughter said to me you'd think after 2 years you would have learnt by now what you can and can't eat but I guess it's still a learning curve lol. So this morning I'm still feeling "under the weather" and "ice cream" is off the menu for me for a very very long time. I know in a few days I'll be able to laugh at myself and the situation but at the moment it's kinda raw for me lol.

Hi Annie:

Been there, done that, and I still have the tummy ache.....

And I still do it anyway.....

To quote Charlie Brown, \"When, when, when, when, when will I ever learn?

All the best,

Fred
