a wish
My mind and abilities can be very variable, and hence I've been holding fast to things that help in understanding.
i conducted service today, and my voice did not step up. It's made me feel questioning of my life here.
i hope and wish for each of us the great blessing of being able to make good choices in our lives when we endeavor to take care of ourselves. I hope we each prosper and are safe!

I think it just takes confidence which you gain by facing your fears and doing it over and over again until it becomes second nature.... It could also be your soul saying, "This just isn't my cup of tea, Bro, no matter how many times you do it,"

Ah Mark...I think Bob hit the nail....My dear friend from Maine also his term was "Make Right Decisions"...we are all given choice, and if this place doesn't 'feel right' you've certainly given it your best shot. Could be the grumpy opinionated Priest? Or...just a need to gain confidence, or a different place of worship.
One thing that is amazing, is the room you have, the beautiful grounds,/view, they let you keep Blue, and meals are provided. In DBT we had a method to help determine the Pro's and Con's...for Each as a way to flush out what we liked and didn't like about an issue or a decision needing to be made.
I think from what you've written, you've gained so much more independence and confidence with your own ability to make decisions, not relying so much on your family input.
I guess structure/rules vs. freedom and choice are the two factors in making a decision to stay or go...one is safe, the other is unpredictable but under your control of life choices.
