A Week of Doctor's Appointments

This is going to be a full week of doctor's appointments.  I had my diagnostic mammogram & ultrasound today.  Thursday I have my breast biopsy.  Friday is my neck ultrasound so I will write about all three in this post and update as needed.

So today I went to a place for my m & u to see why I have discharge from my breast.  The m was as uncomfortable as usual but not awful and the ultrasound went well.  Apparently I have a cyst and a leasion so they want to do a biopsy just to make sure althougth she said it was very unlikely to be cancerous and my obgyn when she called me later said it was less then 2% chance.  That makes me feel better but at the same time it still makes me a bit nervous.  I have never had a biopsy before.  Also I am conflicted about weither to tell my mom.  She would probably want to know but I don't want to worry her if it's nothing.  Which it probably is so why worry her?  On the other hand she will probably be hurt if I don't tell her.

My appointment for Friday is for the lump in my neck I hope that the doctor ordered the right set and that they can see it and figure out what it is.  Plus my fatigue isn't any better I keep trying to keep up hope that it is something solveable but it's difficult when I am so anxious.

Update 7/30: I had my breast biopsy today.  It went as well as could be expected.  The radiologist, nurse, and doctor were all very nice and explained everything well.  I will get my results in 3-5 business days.  I am sore but I have ice packs and I am taking tylonel.  Now I am worrying about tomorrow's appointment.  I just hope they can find the lump I am feeling and that it isn't the worse case scenario that is in my head.  I keep looking up anything that could explain my symptoms with it being c so there are other options but most of them wouldn't explain my fatigue.  That is what is keeping me from finding any hope in any of the other issues.  I just keep circling back to the same idea.  Also the lump is on my right side but here the last few days the one on the left also seems larger.  Maybe because I keep checking it? Plus I still have a metallic taste in my mouth at times.  I think is it related? Because I noticed it more then a month ago.  Although other things can account for it such as acid reflux (which I have) but I've had reflux for awhile but I've never had that symptom before.  Also I've had a bit of dry mouth over the last week which once again can have an alternate explanation such as anxiety but I end up asking myself is it related?

The problem is one: I am not relying on God like I should.  Two: although the test is tomorrow there is no guarantee I'll have any answers right away or that there'll be able to find what I am talking about.  And even if they do find what I'm talking about it may involve more testing and I am feeling bad because my sister is having to watch the kids because school is doing distance learning.  So in case you haven't picked up on it I am kind of ☹️ bummed even though one half of what I was worried about sounds like it will be okay.  I am having a hard time feeling hopeful at all.  Which goes back to one which is me not relying on God in all things.

Update 7/31: I had my ultrasound today.  I guess it went well.  She was definitely in the right area, whether she saw anything I do not know.  She said 3-5 business days for results and my doctor would call me.  I just really want to know what is going on.  And want them to be able to fix it.  I did get some good news.  I got my results back for my biopsy today which was a lot sooner then I thought.  I am in the clear.  They said it wasn't cancerous and that just to continue on getting yearly mammogram's. So I truly thank God for that.   I will update again when I hear from my doctor.

Update 8/6: Almost a week later but I thought I should update.  I've never heard from my doctor about the ultrasound so i finally went on the app and found that the results have come in.  If I am understanding them right, it is a lymph node that is swollen but it has been looked at and it is benign.  Which is good.  I would feel better if the doctor had called me and told me herself just to make sure I am reading it right.  Although I would assume that the doctor would be flagged if it had been something bad so they would call me.  None of this explains why my fatigue is still so bad though.  If I hear from her I will update again otherwise I have another appointment at the end of the month.

Please Lord help them to figure out what's wrong with me and please have them heal me.  Thank you
