A Snowy Day

Hi Fred:
Tonight I am thinking you are lucky to be an electronic journal!  If you were actually here in Idaho Falls you would be feeling very chilly right now.  We were supposed to get rain today.  The mountains around us were supposed to get snow.  In actuality we got DUMPED on... snow, not rain.  The table on the back deck had more than 3inches of snow on it!  There was no wind at that point so that is really what fell.  I shoveled a bit of the driveway and found the snow was full of water.  Wow, was it every heavy stuff.  Tonight is it freezing and the roads are probably skating rinks.  I am glad I am inside.
Today I took Mardi Grass to Dr Shoemakers.  Mardi is still in the kitty hospital tonight.  She has infection somewhere.  Her blood work showed her white count to be sky high.  They gave her fluids, antibiotics and something to help her stop throwing up.  I hope it is infection instead of a form of cancer.  Nick's white cell count was slightly high as his immune system was trying to fight the cancer.  I will ask Dr Shoemaker about that and see if there are tests we can run to find out.   I lost C Cat to pancreatic cancer.  I lost Nick to metastasized bladder cancer.  I just feels nervous about poor Mardi.  She is the kitty that gave me the most comfort after Nick died.  Whenever I cried she would stand on my lap, look me in the face and "chirp" at me.  She would then give me kitty kisses and stay with me for a long time.
Dr. Stephenson at Huntman's Cancer Center is such an insensitive jerk!!  I am glad Nick does not know how little he actually meant to this physician.  Not only did he (1)ignore Nick totally when Nick traveled to Huntsmans when we learned his cancer had returned (2) on our follow up trip to Huntmans when Nick developed sever hyper portal tension & Stephenson did have to meet with Nick, he told Nick, "I bet you hoped that when you got here I would be able to pull another rabit out of the hat.  I can't.  There is nothing more I can do for you.  It has been a pleasure to know you.  I would suggest you go back home and check in to Hospice." But, today, I got a message on the phone from Dr Stephenson's secretary.  She called to remind Nick he has a doctor's appointment with Dr. Stephenson tomorrow and if Nick had questions to call.   I hate to admit it but at this, I lost it.  I did call in behalf of Nick.  I left a message for the head of the urology floor.  I then called & asked the woman who called to remind the caring Dr Stephenson that Nick was dead.  I sure hope that Grief counselor can help me with the issue of anger management!!!
Good night for now, Fred.  Thank you for allowing me to vent.

Sorry about your critters.. Not anger you did what was right. Maybe, just maybe, you can stick a needle in the docs eye to wake him up to his uncaring attitude. No excuse what soever. Peace to you and \"Fred\"

Lots of anger is a difficult phase and it seems like everybody directs it to all kinds of different places.

My anger was first and foremost at God and later at my mother. I am no longer angry with God but I am furious with my mom. I can justify the anger but.....................it\'s not like me to be so mad. Never was like this before.

I will say prayers for your kitty. Hope she is better. They are so comforting. My neighbor has a kitten and she comes up on my lap and rubs her nose under my chin and lays on my lap and sleeps.

Doctors are so ignorant. When Home went to the first urologist, he used a scope without using water and Home felt every thing and the nurse was very unprofessional. He told me she said to him drop your pants. Because of that very first experience he never got any thing done. Started out with one tumor then two then spreading to pelvis. By the time he thought about having the bladder removed it was too late. My heart is with you lady.

Boy could I give that stupid, ignorant doctor that your husband had a piece of my mind also. Here of late I am saying things that I usually do not say, words that have not come out of my mouth in years. Thank God that it does not take Him by surprise and He still loves me.

Letting the anger out is healthy, it keeps the toxins from building up in our body and our minds from going crazy. Do not pent it up, trust me, it comes out in different forms in the body.

Blessings

I came across your entry Darlene and wanted to say you aren\'t alone. When my husband died it was sudden. No doctor appointments, no warnings. One thing I have figured out death is death... for now separation from the one we promised \"til death do we part\". I do not have many friends on DS and I am not here often but at the close of your entry it offers to give a hug. I suppose because of your name length being 7 letters - it only has room enough for 5 to show... it reads \"give Darle... a hug\" well, my hubby\'s name was Darle! This brought tears to my eyes and I am sending a friend request with this note here and will send a hug too. May the day bring you exactly what you stand in need of today. ~Blessings, Becky
