A small tribute to Memorial Day ......and a little nonsense tooxo.

Hello,
Happy Saturday!
I froze the movie to do some chores.  Left Juliette Binoche & Jean Reno at the Paris De Gaulle Airport to fend for themselves, so I could poach some chicken & cook rice w/black eyed peas.  Cook now, nuke later, that's my theory of the day!
I tossed some carrots, onion & celery in the pot, along with the chicken and some peppercorns.  It's gently bubbling away.
I washed a new nightgown and it shrunk up by about three inches.  The other one, same fabric same maker didn't do that ......so rude. Is it possible that my dryer wants to raise ladies hemlines for summer?  Hmmm.  Yeah you can call me Nona Nonsense today.  I've only nodded off twice since I got up today.  Pretty good all things considered.  Last night I couldn't get too sleep........all the sleep caught up with me finally and there I was punching pillows at 4 in the morning.  That is a lonely place, not my favorite.  I am so sleepy.......maybe a little caffeine won't look too bad on my record.  I have some dr.pepper left from mom's day.  that should do it........!
The rigged up mini greenhouse trays are back on the job.......seeing some new teeny tiny sprouts poking up through the dirt.  Cross your fingers, take a pinch of salt, throw it over your left shoulder and wiggle your nose! Why?  Well it can't hurt 'em and it just might help 'em grow tall and sassy!
I had a crazy dream.....set in the future.  I was standing in the front nose of a huge airship......it was all glass......the view was incredible.  It was a huge area.........think airport concourse x2 huge.  Off to the right of the ship there was a whole fleet of sleek slim airships.......each one painted in the colors of their countries flag.  They were all high gloss shiny, never seen anything like the design before.  (no wings......)  We were all headed toward something.  The costumes were body hugging.......can't remember what the insignia was.......but the costume design had some Trek flavor.  Did I ever tell ya'll I met Gene Roddenberry in the summer of 1975?  Random, but true.  At a party, in LA.  Which has nothing to do with anything........I wondered where we were headed - realized the dial in front of me was blinking August 2001.  We were headed into the past.  I woke up so scared.........felt icy cold fear........so glad when I really woke up.  All I can remember is looking at the towers standing in the corner windows of a big deserted office building downtown NYC.........and feeling terrified.
Why do we dream the things we dream?
I think I'm ready to go back to the couch and set the actors free to perform........enjoy the movie.  The chicken should be about done........the rice & black eyed peas are already resting in the frig.  I hope you have a relaxing, untaxing day and like it so much you do little to nothing tomorrow.  If you're in an energy pocket enjoy it, pace yourself and everybody please feel free to pick up a BIG HUGGITY HUG as you exit this journal......huggles & corny snuggles, feeling mighty sentimental today.......color me
Sentimental Journey.........remember that song???

Daddy served in the United States Army and his bride to be........our Momma (to be) was back home praying.  She was teaching in a one room schoolhouse, she rode her (one horsepower) horse to work every day!  The letters they wrote to each other were beautiful...........so touching and sweet.  To all who serve our country & to everyone who loves and supports them........ past present and future - we honor you this Memorial Day Week-End!

Crossed my fingers, threw the salt but can\'t do the nose wiggle very well. Remember that old sitcom Bewitched? Where Samantha the friendly witch used to wiggle her nose to perform her magic ( I can hear the little kingly sound effect too ). I used to practice and practice doing tat as a child but sadly never perfected anything passable. I do hope you teeny tiny planties grow big and tall.
