a report from sleepy bird
Hey There!
Gathering up some day courage...........the cats are playing an avid game of "Hello Kitty!"
So serious, they are..........my two are perched on the top of the couch......front paws on the window ledge........pretty yellow tabby cat is sitting on the front porch rail.
Action update......Annie raced to the front door - pushed the mini blinds aside......anxiously searching. Rio got up on his hind paws in the window to watch and help with the search. They were talking in rapid cat stake out lingo, so I got up to see what was going on.......
Visitor Tabby Cat of the Outside World is now stationed in a semi hidden yet still visible leafy post between the porch rails and the front hedge. Ahhhh, fine my cats seems to say..........we can still see our fine furry friend...........they all seem to be enjoying the closeness of this visit.
In other news, my head hurts less today. Sweet Georgia Brown!!!!!! A lot less. Still feel pressure, but not the bad scary pain.........not ready to listen to John Phillip Sousa just yet, but a soft bit of flowy music would be lovely. Nice to be able to add a little more sound into home life!
Still stuffy, sneezy and still trying to get that chronic sinusitis is my new life. I've been surprised for too long........this has been the deal for at least all of this year. These issues are part of the gift of Sjogrens Syndrome. Sjogrens is a funny duck. Not funny ha ha, but funny peculiar.
Preparing myself to be content with staying at home for Thanksgiving. To not worry about a special menu. To not worry about going anywhere - forcing myself to get ready, ride in the car, chat, sit up........not be able to nap. The only person I think will really mind is Sam........and a part of me will be a little sadding. Sometimes we get surprises and get to go.......but I'm practicing acceptance in advance. Don't know if it will lessen the impact or not.
This year is going to come to a close softly and quietly. Bruce came by to blow leaves at some point, but hasn't been in contact. We made a deal that he would dig up the Christmas tree on the back patio and move it any time in the first two weeks of this month. Transfer the remaining plants on the back patio into the spot that held the tree.
The Christmas Tree was going to be planted in the middle of the front yard..........in the center the rose bush circle. I always tell Bruce if there is something you don't want to do, you can tell me, it's no problem........and I can get someone else. So is he sort of telling me by not saying anything? Who knows. I need to be awaker to be a better knower..........
Grapevine update on Sara......she is busily working on her music video.......she has a new voice student, a 7 year old girl who likes to rap.........and that the band is very excited to release their first single "Something Beautiful" on November 29th.
I would like to go outside and roll up the mats. The mats are turquoise blue/with cream.......6' by 9" vinyl rugs. The problem? The patio furniture has to be moved. So far it's been a stand off........I ORDER it to move. It doesn't. EVER move. Just stubbornly stoically sits there. I brought the cushions in.....washed them and stored them away til spring. Except the porch swing. I like sitting on the porch swing, but can't sit on it without padding. Fibro says, "JUST SAY NO!"
So what else? Dreaming about the pictures upstairs. Wish I could win the album lotto, a space to work on the project of sorting photos with out any stairs............but without that, I'll have to come up w/a different plan.
In other news, I need to start bagging up my donations for Good will.........every evening I take the pledge.........and every morning I feel like this...........I wish I had a couple of high school kids to help me. They could bring it downstairs........load up my car, their own vehicle and we could get it over to the Goodwill........it's about 7-8 miles away.
I got me some crazy bed hair action going on! Note to self:reasons to buy a hat!
Sending out some love and soft sunshine. We have rain coming our way.......three days of rain. Guess I can skip the rain dance huh!
Take it easy on yourself..........be gentle - 86 self reproach. Please promise you that you will take the pledge to be extra extra kind to yourself..........you are precious, awesome, your smile is incredible and your spirit holds the most incredible light...........................xoxoxoxo, sleepy bird

Glad your head is feeling better today, Ruthie! I\'m a bit confused about your Thanksgiving! Are you staying home or going somewhere in a car? Could be my brainfog and me needing to be awaker when I read!! LOL
I have bedhead this morning too. Mostly because I\'m waking up in the afternoon after 13 hours of sleep. I need a hat maself!!
I\'m sure that Annie and Rio do love knowing that have another \"one of them\" on the other side of the wall. They do bring you much comfort, I\'m sure. My Willow annoys me to death, but loves me. Just wants to cuddle....that\'s all she wants. And who can\'t use a little furry snuggle now and again!!!!
Big hugs for a pain free weekend, Sparrow!
Yep quiet T-giving here, and my patio furniture moved eventually when the wind did it. (Yay?) ... Sinusitis is a son of a gun, hope you can find something to help it. I had it as a kid b/c of my parents smoking so much.
My cats love to watch \"visitors from Outer Space\" (aka the other houses around here). It\'s so cute to have them on the sill chatting and chirping in Cat about this situation. Like gossipy old biddies:-)
Hope your weekend is a warm bath of feeling well,
Leo
I can imagine your kitties guarding their home and watching their friend right outside the window. And then I think of my two little dogs doing the same thing and can only imagine what a loud, barking ruckus they would make! Glad to hear your head is a little better - I kept up the prayers. It\'s hard to believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner - I always feel a little overwhelmed by that because I can hardly stand up to cook - my kids help but it\'s quite a challenge. If you do have to stay at home on Thanksgiving, I hope you can think of one out of the ordinary thing to do to make the day unique. I find that helps somewhat if I am left alone when others are off celebrating. Make a fun ice cream sundae or fill up a couple of pages of things you are thankful for and decorate the margins with crayons or colored pens, etc, etc. If I don\'t do one thing to make a holiday different from every other day, I feel pretty sorry for myself.
Hey there Ruthie soul glad you are on the up again. We don\'t have thanksgiving here so no celebrations here. However I sure give thanks for two nights sleep and all you sweet kind friends, so that can be my celebration. My Dads name was Bruce.Bye sleepy bird, love ya Di
Hello sleepy bird, totally loved your journal today, glad your head is better, your bed head is worse warranting a hat, your critters are babbling in kitty lingo (they also speak by certain looks at each other). Quiet and soft is a nice way to celebrate and honestly I think you\'re thankful all the time so you don\'t need to celebrate it that day any ways, right? You be kind to yourself too. Ellen DeGeneres says that at the end of her show \'Be kind to one another\'. XXOO
I too am happy to hear that your beginning to feel better. My kitties are hibernating and eating. Hope your two enjoyed their visit with the Tabby.
Was thinking about your previous journal about the dream...was thinking maybe it had to do with your frustration in trying to get your lab results.
Take care and easy peasy friend. and greenies
