a recommendation from my therapist

my therapist helped me realize that part of self care is what I have been doing.

She asked me when I told her about an experience she said

"What is your 'go to' things you do when you feel this way?"

I know I had talked about this yesterday or the day before in a journal here but

her suggestion yesterday really rang true. I do have these mental health challenges

so I do need to take care of my needs as well as my wants! :) It's all part of the mix of

our humanity, self responsibility and self care.

So I was feeling badly this morning - for something that happened early on - and now settled in

after errands I am just reaching out to write here on DS.org.

Rather than feel like I am complaining, I can look at what I am doing as a remedy for

self care.

I hope you guys are having a good day. Very much sending you good vibes, good kharma

and blessings! xoxox

Standing ovation for your shrink for getting that through. Another ovation to you for being open to the possibility.

For what it's worth
What you call "complaining" here would fit more sensibly under what I call, "Repression." I can easily imagine you questioning your right to say, "Ouch" when there is an elephant standing on your toe. Yes, dear, ^it^ could be worse. That elephant could be standing on somebody else's head. Even so, it's okay to cuss when you push the critter off your toe. Welcome to the human species.

Self-care is what gives me plenty to give back to the world. Live out loud, good moments and bad.
