A puzzle piece...finally!
Note to self: If you don't understand what a problem is, you probably can't solve it.
That was the lesson last night when I came on here after catching up on my legal ethics notes to see what one of my buddies had to say about one of my recent entries here. You may have seen the one I mean...the one where I felt like I was basically going totally wacko.
I've been talking back and forth with this friend for a while now here, so there's some (maybe a better degree than some) understanding about me. Finally, she uncovered a problem with my mind set last night: Physically I'm not, but from a mentality view I've been masochistic.
It's hard for me to explain, but it does seem to explain to me why a lot of my fears have just made no sense at all. Some of the things I've mentioned since I came here have been legitimate...I truly was and still am scared about taking college algebra next semester because every time I try to take a course along those lines, there's always a few concepts that I just don't get. But what to do about said algebra course was, to be charitable, uncalled for...I mean, come on, it's not like I don't have any outs if I need help there.
So why did I let myself float like that for so long? It has to be aggravating my depression issues, I don't doubt that...but why? I don't have a good answer. The best I can come up with is that I had some idea that mindset was an issue, but I didn't understand just how much of an issue it was. Now that I understand that it was and is really bad...
...hmmm. Okay, so I know the extent of a major problem now. I can't help but ask now...and I don't mean to sound stupid, but since I've never really understood how bad it was before last night...where do I go from here?
