a pretty picture?

I was going along today, after writing the last journal. I thought to myself of the frustration that I mentioned with

my mental health challenge but then also thought to remind myself about something. The life I am creating

won't be a perfect or pretty image. I have my illness I have to accept that and also how it effects what I make of my life.

Also as I have my ilness, whoever I end up with will have to accept that about me too.

We're all just people. Whoever is in my life too and or whoever we are together, we will have to accept that

we fall short from the person we would hope each other to be...in the role of spouse, partner and humanitarian.

I know I have expectations sometimes looming in the background that says 'this is how life is supposed to be' - it's

not always helpful,

but you have to be real....we're all just people....after all.

Letting go of the “pretty picture” is a kind of freedom. You’re naming something so true: we all fall short of the ideal version we carry in our heads, and love, real love, makes room for being human. Also, the way you accept your challenge without giving up on your life is strength. The right partner won’t be looking for perfection; they’ll be looking for a sincere heart and someone who keeps walking forward....hugs
