A painful Christmas.
I got a horrible Christmas this year!! I have shingles. It started 10 days ago, and I am still in pain! Have been to doctor twice, and got antibiotics and lots of pain meds. Obviously I can't work now, so I am with my daughter now. She and little Lee-Ann are very supportive.
The worst part about December for me is feeling the loss and loneliness, and knowing that the dreams I once had, have all vanished and will never be!!! My precious Colleen is in heaven, my son has distanced himself from me and Melany, and I am left with nothing!!!
A merry Christmas to each one of my SOTH!!! xxx

I am so sorry you have shingles...they are so painful! Praying for a speedy recovery!
Oh the holidays...seems like every emotion is felt and magnified..I always think everyone has a family but me...everyone has their kids by them...and my list goes on...I so understand and am standing with you..heart to heart....((((hugs)))) Vicki
I am so sorry about your shingles. Most people get them once and never get them again, but I have recurring shingles and had them 10 times this year. Each time seemed a bit easier though, and it's very rare to have them come back even once, so you probably won't ever get them again. My doctor recommended I stay on the anti-viral as prevention, but like I said, each time got easier and I chose to let my own immune system fight them off and grow stronger.
This is a very hard time for me too, the hardest Christmas yet, my third without my girl. It will be over soon.
So, so sorry about the shingles and not what anyone would want at this already tender time of year.
Please take care of yourself and know that I send healing and love your way.
Remembering your dear Colleen with you and understand how much our wonderful children are missed.
XO Joanie

Andelene, I am so sorry you are dealing with the shingles. I have heard it is terrible! May you feel better soon and may the medications help.
And the longing for Colleen is always there I know, but I have found that when I am sick and unable to keep up with my regular routine I miss Eddie even more. Too much time to think I guess.
Just remember you are not alone. We walk with you. Love to you and dearest Colleen, Linda ♡
