A nice thing
I taught a priest to conduct services this morning. I tend to be a very compassionate teacher but I realized today only liberalism is not effective and that you have to have some structure and fortitude to teach well. It really showed me how I was conducting myself and teaching him.
At the end he thanked me, he said you really have a sense of how to teach, much more than others.

That sure is a nice thing he said to you. I does make a difference to have a good, compassionate, patient teacher and it sounds like you have all that, Mark!
Thanks Becky! x
I was thinking about what I had learned about liberalism and having fortitude and structure to be effective- and how the fortitude helped me see what I was responsible for then in a broader way and so I started to see what I was responding to in life as well, it seemed like I was I lost in liberalism - I was lost in feeling? I believe in compassion - and structure - i really believe that both sides of the spectrum
are really important toward creating a society that flies.
I'm seeing my individual path- that we're each going for what we think is neat or cool and that we're each on our path - going for what we want and kind of caught up in those momentary connections with each other = maybe coming to acknowledge or ask what we are asking of ourselves or others to be - but ultimately on a solo path
and for the people I want to date - am I responding only to sexuality or am i making a more rounded decision?
I really like that the monastic life allows me to think about the commonality between us all - to be able to think about humanity - and commonality there's such a beauty to these truths (psychological and spiritual) to me and so connecting with others on this level is so wonderful to me - and really makes me happy. I have been going for what I like and want and that's oh so normal! :)
Another example of you touching a life and making a difference. I'm glad that he praised you for it. Keep on being you, Mark. Hugs.
Thanks Judy! You are amazing!
Way to go!
Thanks sunshine!
i subscribe to the theory that a good teacher learns more than their students.
well-taught, father grasshopper.
What a wonderful experience for both of you Marky
I'm glad that it is such a precious experience for you...xo
