A new year, anything is possible
I am still sober, over 10 months now(still on step 7), which included no dating, no acting out, no drugs or alcohol.
I have been living by myself, sometimes really depressed, sometimes happy and enjoying life. Family issues, friends issue, work issues and getting closer to God and attempting to live in a more christian way.
I have learned I have always hid my feelings, and I am codependent. Working on dealing with all of that too.
I am now dating as of this weekend. Actually thought months ago I would never really date again, and when asked months ago I said no I am not really ready to date anyone. I kept praying to God asking for patiences and understanding. I was even resistant to a relationship. I really believed it would be years before I would date again.
She knows all about my addiction, and iswilling to help me with it and help me stay sober, and open and honest.

I'm sorry Memphis - I had noticed you hadn't written anything on any posts in awhile so I was checking on you (not trying to be weird.)
Hang in there, you can do this.
