a new recipe
I don't know if it's delusional - but I was sitting in my living room, feeling unwound and sad and confused about my future - with an empty life - and no direction to aim towards.
I thought of work tomorrow and I remembered my routines that I keep around here to stay on track and to keep things well cared for. I snapped right out of those sad feelings and got to work. Getting on or keeping to the schedule, didn't take away my problems but keeping to the routine certainly lifted my spirits and filled my life straightaway with a sense of purpose. Perhaps I can take lesson from this recognition. My routines are important and helpful to my attention and mood.
And maybe now too I can make some time in my day to focus on my plans in a structured way -
so that part of my time is planning for the future (and yes I may get sad) but then once that time is up I can get back to doing the things that keep my present life in check and cared for.
