A new chapter

I can feel in the air that I have entered in a new era of my life. Recognizing myself and appreciating myself is one of the things that I have learned to do.  I learned that one the hard way (life lesson).  I told myself that I would do little things to recognize my birthday all month.  This is truly a major turning point for me.  I will be starting a new decade. I will be turning half a century.  You don't get to do that every day.  Sometimes I can not  believe that I am here.  I can not believe that it has been that long or should  I say that much time has gone by.
I am almost afraid to turn fifty because my forties was so great.  I am losing that fear because I can see my life getting better already.  Some people tell me it gets better.  (The negative nancys tell me how bad 40 was and how broke down they are a 50).  I have nothing for them.  I can't help them with that pity party.
Several things have fallen in place to signify that it is definitely a new beginning for me.  I started a new job that will pay me the same in 40 hours that I made on both my full and part time job.  You would think that I would leave that part time job but, I have not.  I intend to try to replace it with a higher paying part time job.  I have some leads on that.  I have been trying to find ways to make money from home. That has worked out a little.  I found a little freelancer gig.  Let's see how that turns out.  My first grandbaby is on the way.  I sold my old Chrysler.  It sounds insignificant but as I watched them tow it away somehow I knew that it signified that I was closing a door. Often in life as one door closes another one opens.
I will put up a decoration in my bedroom tonight to remind myself that I am celebrating a birthday. This birthday is important to me because I intend to chase some dreams that I have put on hold or was unsure if they were possible. I will be sending my life in a different direction.  I am pretty sure that I am destined to take "The Road Less Traveled".  Often "way leads on to way" so we never know how things will end up.
I intend to spend this year making some major changes in my life. For the past year I have been working on reinventing myself. I will be doing that even more this year.  I have found some good deals on some things that I thought were out of my reach financially.  I have found some opportunities that could possibly open doors to some of the things that I have been wanting to do.  I am finding that some of the things that I have been wanting are more obtainable than I realized.
