A long week

Hello everyone,
Boy has it been a long week!  We have not left the house all week and I really need a break.  Saturday night we were both crying, Steve from the pain and me from watching him suffer. I called both of the children and asked them to pray. I fear that it is more than rib pain and Steve told me " we both knew it would come to this one day".  Again I wonder if he has broken another rib by stepping into a little hole last week when we were having the concrete poured for the patio. It said it really jarred him. Or is it something else??  So long story short, palliative care told him to stay inside and have complete rest for this week.  
I began to wonder if a lift chair could help him.  I called a local furniture store to inquire about the cost of one and we know the owner and he said if this is for Steve?  I will have one there in 30 minutes.  I tried to tell him that he had never sat in one and we wanted to try it out. He told me he would have his men bring it back if it didn't work. Sure enough they came in less than 30 minutes!!! I told the delivery guy that I would call the the owner back and give him our credit card number.  He then told me that the owner said keep it as long as it was needed!!!  Steve called him and thanked him personally I was stunned at his kindness!  He wanted no money for it and it really helps Steve get up and down. I will send him a card and if I can find out where he goes to church I will make a donation in his honor. People have been very kind and the palliative care people have been wonderful.
We have progressed from hydrocodone to oxicotton in a few months. It seems so fast.....
We live by the Grace of our Heavenly Father!  and we pray for those others who are fighting......
