A LONG, LONG,LONG DAY!!!

Thought I’d start with something that is cute and funny. Not the way I am feeling but it’s better to put on a smile. I have been finding myself very short on time lately. I turn around and the day is gone and so is my energy. I need more time in each day. I sometimes wonder where the time went and then I look at my "to do list" and see everything I did get done and it is usually a lot. One thing that is taking up more of my time is the boys. I have them for 12 more hours a week than before as their mum started work. It is amazing how much time that really is and of course it is right in the middle of prime work time from 2:00 til 4:40 plus the morning is 7:10 til 8:45. So I have had to rearrange some regular appointments to accommodate this change. Plus the new pup is taking a lot of time just getting her housebroken. And the usual stuff, not chewing this or that, getting her socialized with the other critters and grooming plus just spending time with her. She loves to sit on my lap while I type, kinda slows things down.I am also trying to get to Curves every morning, a gym program, which takes about 45 minutes if I stick to the routine and don’t stop to chat with every Tom, Dick and Harry. Now that is a real feat for me. Miss Jabber Jaws. I always had the gift of gab. Guess that’s why I was such a good teacher. I even talk in my sleep. LOL!!Anyway, I had the boys all day today 7:10 til 4:40. It was a storm day plus the little one had the flu yesterday and was still under the weather. It was a VERY.... long day!! Not use to having this much of my time monopolized. I felt trapped about mid afternoon. Also tummy didn’t feel great and I was really tired. Oh, I sure hope I didn’t catch the bug from the little guy!!!Well, I’ll close for now and wish you all a great night. Debbie

Well the shorter days give us less time. In the summer we are still in the yard at 9:00. Now we don\'t even go out after 5:00 if we can help it. I have been a no go for a while, only go out if I have too. Fed the birds yesterday and dreaded it. Getting my nails done tomorrow and will either wear my snowsuit or fur coat. I loath winter. Hope you get puppy house broke quick. Ruby took 2 years. She was very lazy. I went with all the vets and breeders and trainers advice and got no where. Finally at 2 I rubbed her nose in it as much as I did not want to and it worked, I was gentle though and did not yell. That was a year ago and we have been fine ever since. Big guilt on that one. But imagine a Newfie pee...Yikks. Sure hope you are not getting flu too. Hubby had it and it was not fun. Not sure how I escaped that one. Have a good week-end. xo

It takes alot of energy to look after kids especially when their not yours.

I hope it doesn\'t take too long to house break your new puppy. That\'s why I like cats so much, you show them the litter box once and that\'s it, your done!!LOL

Have a nice day and a good weekend.

i can imagine where all the energy goes with the kids underfoot. it was the way i felt as a teacher in a preschool class i used to help with. I hope the kids feel better soon and that you can soon get back to your routine or at least have some time to do the things you like to do, like your wonderful crafts. take good care of yourself and hope you feel better soon too! hugs

I find myself having the same problems as you and I know I\'m not doing as much as you each day. I\'m not sure what it is but I don\'t like it. I used to be so organized and efficeint, especialy with a list but now it seems like if I get one or two things done well before the day is over its a big deal.
Sure hope you don\'t get the bug, last thing you need to start the new year off with. Hugs
