A little poem I wrote

I'm sitting there
curled up, knees to my chest
the sky is shining
with stars and here I am.
Hair pulled back
and my large pink sweater on
watching in wait by your pool;
you look at me and
I hide my smile by looking down.
It's quiet but the air
brings a comforting feeling.
I cover my mouth-
to suppress that giggle
that makes you wonder;
I think how I haven't been happier.
You stand in the pool with
water glistening around you
your blue eyes cut through the night
I squeeze my knees closer to my body...
