a little good news....
Last week I mentioned that there was an equestrian/bereavement program run by the Hospice and I was on the wait list
Mama got a horse! They had to reschedule the program and someone had to drop out and there I am!
Very excited about this. Best thing to happen in a long time!! There are 8 adults (plus 3 counselors, and the equine center staff), you get to pick your horse (or, they said, more often the horse picks you). There are activities with the horses, group activities, journaling, art projects--it's a whole day program. This is the first time Hospice has done it's a pilot program for them.
So, Oct. 23rd. Something to look forward to!! Yay!

I had the strongest sense this was going to work out and yippee, it has! I cannot wait to hear how it feels for you and I agree with the horse often picking its person.
Having something to look forward to is the BEST and it will be here before you know it!
