A little bit less stress but still caught in the middle
With my parents in a n assisted living home I don't have to watch my dad anymore but my mother is not happy with the place and may want to move to another. This means that dad may also need to be moved. He isn't happy having been moved already. My brother still wants to take dad home and take care of him but I told him that I will not help him anymore.
My sister is getting her new way of living with caretakers and on her own starting with the parents gone and I am staying over night with her until they get it set up for her. This is not really stressful but it does keep me away form my own bed, place, things and so I'm a little edgy. I can't be at home, or at ease or relax even if not actually being stressed out by dad. At least I have been able to sleep through the night so that is a good thing, even if it isn't in may own home or own bed. I've been leaving when one of her caretakers comes and not returning until night, this gives me around 6-7 hours for myself. I am watching way too much TV with my sister. I miss my computer.
I had another meaningless argument with my brother today. I already don't remember what it was about. Part of it came down to that I don't know how to argue. After I told him I try not to even talk to him so that he won't start an argument over something I say. He doesn't listen well and seems to always try and catch me in some wrong statement or contridiction just to show me I'm wrong. It is as if the argument itself isn't imlportant only showi8ng me that I make mistakes or am wrong is important to him.
I am caught int he middle still without knowing what to do but my best to remain calm not panic and help as much as I can without wrecking my own sanity any further. I've started pulling back and telling people I can't do it anymore.
I can't help my mom with decisions.
I can't watch dad anymore.
I can't stay with my ssiter all day long.
I can't know the answer to everything.
I can't do anymore favors for everyone that asks me.
I can't do these things and still be able to remain calm and not lose it.
