A LITTLE BETTER...

Wed., 6-25-08:  A little better today....I finally got to get in the swimming pool.  I have had it set up since the weekend before Memorial Day.  It has just been too cool, rainy, & windy.  I floated for a long while debating about getting in all the way.  Well, my decision was made for me when I got off balance and flipped over.  A loud squeal and I was ok. I have mostly been putzing around the house doing a whole lot of nothing.  Tomorrow I will vacuum, sort of dust, and clean the guest bathroom for my friend.  She will be sleeping in Scott's room.  That is a 1st for me.  His clothes are still in the closet and dresser, his deoderant still on his night stand, although I have changed the room around and added other things that were not his.  But, Marylynn will be a good 1st guest because she is a good friend and has been for about 15 years.  I feel comfortable with her.  She knew Scott, of course.  Adam is still really struggling.  It has been 1 month today since we lost Melissa.  We all miss her.  I talked to her mom this evening and she sounded very sad.  But, we did manage to make each other laugh for just a moment.  Chris is doing well.  He DJ'd the Springfield Cardinals All-Star banquet last night.  Tonight is the All-Star game. North Division Leagues vs South Division Leagues.  He was pretty excited, but nervous.  He is always afraid the music won't be just right.  I told him unless it was something horrible, none of us in the stands would even know if there was a mistake. For any of you reading who go to baseball games you know what I mean.  We don't really notice the music but we would notice if it wasn't there.  But, I am glad he is humble.  Some of those guys can get pretty cocky.  That doesn't really fly in my world.  Once again, to all who are reading and those who are not, peaceful wishes.  So many of you have bigger burdens than me and still reach out.  I will never be able to thank you enough.

I like the idea of you splashing around in the pool,
tipped over, hmmm- I would have squealed too -
Nice to hear you\'re having a guest, the company should do you good, and distract you some. Just remember each day is a new day - accomplish what you can and leave the rest for another time. Stay well, and know I\'m always praying for you. Love you,

Hope you folks in the midwest get some better weather soon. I have been following the news about the flooding in Iowa and Missouri. It is just awful. Love and hugs to you. Janis

It is nice that you are out in the pool. Wish it was nice enough here to get put into a pool. The weather is still a little cool. Low 60\'s. I have been like you cleaning my house and keeping busy. My sons room is mostly intact too. :) My younger son moved in but his clothes and all his stuff is still in there. I can not move it out and my youngest one does not wnat it out. It works. :) Take care and have a peaceful weekend and enjoy the time with your friend.
