A great piece of advice
Just heard a great bit of advice. ‘Build your fortress now, don’t wait for the rain. If you’ve got a mission or calling, build for it now.'

wow, really amazing insight after this bit of advice. I thought about all the things I have used
to worry about in terms of building a life. I thought of all the aesthetics of having a home,
of working out in a gym, of dressing nicely or decorating my home and collecting art
and all having nothing legitimate or doable unless they were all covered - all those visible superficial parts of
building a life which I no longer have the time for or can sustain.I’ve experienced them but I thought about
how if I don't have them covered I will have a vulnerability- but what's important
is that knowing this vulnerability that I now perceive can also have me understand what I am reacting
to and what to make important in my 'building of my fortress.'
I agree that it's what's inside is what's most important
Our soul...our spirit
The outer part of us can be enjoyable though as long as it's not hurting us
Big hug sweetie.. xo
Thanks Janet!
Very true Mark....many years ago when my Mom passed, my brother's wife said "they are just things' meaning a 'thing' can be replaced. What I've learned over the last several weeks, letting go of my Mom's coat and yesterday a dress from Singapore to a gal who used to live in Singapore is Such A Good Feeling of 'Giving' with Joy.
I've No Idea how I've been So Blessed with t his amazing condo.....it's a 'thing', and it's 'security for my son's future' which has no possible price tag to know he will be in a small community, a good and safe area when I've passed.
Thanks Mary Louise! So grateful, sending prayers!
