A good thing

I tend to write when I am blue.  Well last evening we came here to Edmonton to visit Andrew and Tiina.  They di a lot of shopping in LA and we heard about their adventures e.g. 3 hours to go what should have been 20 minutes, and Tiina's visit to the Craig Ferguson Show.  She was thrilled because Eric Idle was his only guest.  Of course she was delighted as she loves Monty Python!
I have been having fun as shortly after we arrived, Tiina's brother showed up with 2 wiry, energetic 6 week old kittens.  He lives on an acrage and they were getting mice in the house.  They got the cats to be mousers.  I guess they are pretty good but their very large dog does not like cats.  One has a short tail as a result.  I don't know if you are aware that I am a cat lover.  Actually I am laying on the bed with a cat sleeping on me now.  These kittens look like twins.  They are white with black markings.  The only way I can tell them apart is that one has a stubby tail!  They splept with us last night.
A and T now have a houseful. They have a small gray rescue cat, a large black long haired cat, the 2 newcomers and an energetic, affectionate rescue dog that looks a bit like a coyote.  Luckily Dare the dog likes cats.  I think it will take a while for the new additions to the pet family to warm up to him. 
Tonight Tiina and I are going to a dinner and fencing exhibition.  A and T are taking fencing lessons.  Andrew doesn't want to go so I am the stand in.  It should be fun.
I will be busy on Monday so this has been my green smiley for last week and next week!
